Dubai flooding: Dozens of cars and buses abandoned

Torrential rain flooded roads, homes and malls and briefly halted operations at Dubai's airport as storms lashed the Gulf on Tuesday, after leaving at least 18 dead in Oman.
Dubai, the Middle East's financial centre, was paralysed by the heavy storms that caused widespread flooding around the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.
Flagship shopping centres Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates both suffered flooding and water was ankle-deep at at least one Dubai Metro station.

Once a companion of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) asked to Prophet, Ohh Prophet! When the Judgement day will come? The Prophet (pbuh) said: ''The judgement day will not come until this lands (the desert of Arab peninsula) become greenery again''. And, interesting fact is that, scientists also are saying that, million years ago, this desert was actually full of trees and greenery. But, over the period of time, it turned into dry weather and the present form of desert. It is also another sign of true prophecy by Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh). Anyways, I am pretty sure that, not only UAE people but also all countries of Arab peninsula are being surprised to see this dramatic climate changes, such as with heavy rainfall and floods which they never experienced before, nor their ancestors too.

Climate change will cause an increase of total yearly rainfall on the planet. Warmer oceans = more evaporation = more precipitations. But while more precipitations are to be expected, this is on the entire world's scale. Thus, while some regions will experience more rainfall, some other regions will be hit by intense droughts. Also, since warmer air can hold more humidity, intense rainfall like this one will become more likely to occur
