Dubai prince appears to be singer ‘Alira’

A Dubai prince who recently made waves in Hong Kong by deciding to set up a US$500 million family office in the city, appears to also have found fame as a singer-songwriter with a fan base in the Philippines. Sheikh Ali Rashed Ali Saeed Al Maktoum is from Dubai, a city and emirate in the United Arab Emirates, but two sources told the Post that he is also known on-stage as Alira. Checks of videos available online and a now-defunct website about Alira’s showbiz career showed a striking resemblance between the performer and prince.
