I know this comment was a long time ago but yes they share responsibility but if u look closely he travelled in his spin causing him to get closer however even before his travelling they were both too close to each other it was a mistake that happens more than u think but luckily it doesn’t normally result in this

This pair had a good sense of tracking, meaning they were always able to perform all of their elements like jumps, and spins close to each other, which is appealing. Bryce did travel on that spin however. This pair has had more than their share of accidents. Just search you tube them. I do love them. They are the pair that made me love pair skating.. Best of luck to them this coming season!

I’m so glad she’s OK! It was a very tragic accident, but it’s funny they mentioned them not wanting to answer the question who got too close, because in all the replays and all the angles you can clearly see she wanders over toward him. There’s no fault in something like this-ice is ice and they were close as it was. I’m glad they got counseling kept going.

@jagsmokey It was none of them thats why they call it an accident. Bryce traveled but there was nothing he could do to stop the spin once he started moving towards her. I do pair skating as well and there's always that chance for both skaters to collapse with each other or even fall. It was just an accident. :) i hope this might help a little bit.

Tsarevna Hilda actually hockey skates are less dangerous than figure skates: they have rounded ends at toe and heel while figure skates are sharp for spins and take offs. a hockey skate wouldn't have hurt her as bad. neither are totally safe though, eg clint malarchuk accident in hockey. anyway jessica is so beautiful!
