GM Daniil Dubov won a masterpiece today! From the outset, he played aggressively and beautifully against Sergey Karjakin, and when Karjakin defended incorrectly, he capped everything off with an AMAZING queen sacrifice.

To do this against Sergei Karjakin, whose nickname is “The Minister of Defense” because of his strong defensive skills and how difficult he is to beat makes this even more impressive.

The Minister of Defense make a big blunder in playing Qf7 after white’s Rxe6. If Black played instead Qc6 it would be a drawn.

@codonauta

@@flamma3638 No, white would get the queen back, really, but black would get the two bishops back and after the pawn in d6. In material there wouldnt advantage to anyone, the position would get equal, at least. For me , a bit better for black with those 2 pawns x 1 in queenside and with a bishop in an open position x the white knight.
