This is a very informative video! It's great to hear about the price differences for transportation and accommodations. I didn't realize that it was so expensive before the Pandemic. Great tip to visit before the cruise ships return.

Hello, thank you for your video. We are currently in Dubrovnik and the prices have exploded since your video :( Walls of Dubrovnik : now 250 Kuna Cable car : now 110 for one way and 200 for the roundtrip Restaurants are expensive too, sometimes the same prices than in Paris It's a very beautiful city but prices are too expensive

Now it's euro, so I can't imagine how high the prices will be. I will be visiting in October, and I am sure I'll shocked.

I’m very lucky I travel all over Croatia 🇭🇷 when I was younger and seen everything for free it can’t ever get as good as it was before and you didn’t need to pay for much and walks around the town and cities and had a private place to stay with friends and family for the whole month. Miss it all but very lucky I lived it . Beautiful places all over Croatia and it’s Adriatic Sea 🌊 ❤always beautiful.

Wow restaurant prices in Old Town are extremely expensive. Can't remember Dubrovnik was expensive for us. But we only were there for a day, and didn't go for a restaurant and only walked around the old town. It was a very budget trip
@rokgoesaround4 жыл бұрын
Yes they are, but it was even much worse until 2020. Now in general I think it is much more reasonable.
@seattledutch2 жыл бұрын
Nice guide! How are prices now? How about prices outside of old town? Any restaurants you recommend?
@rokgoesaround2 жыл бұрын
In general all the prices went up 20 to 30 percent this year. I recommend restaurant Posat, just outside the city walls with a beautiful view. Book ahead.

I don't know what I was expecting exactly but good lord that's a lot more expensive than I imagined! maybe ill go to split instead haha

Yeh, usually people are a bit surprised as no one expects this kind of prices on the Balkans. But Croatian coast and Dubrovnik in particular are very expensive. But at the end of the day it is so unique that you have to see it. You just need to be prepared for the high prices.

Price are super huge. I was shocked that for a take away small snack (potato burek) in a bakery they chrged me5,5€. I seen this price only in Norway and Singapore ,honestly. An hamburger and a beer you could easily spend 30€. It is beautiful city, but the price are too much high.
@rokgoesaround2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your experience. Agreed, this year prices are very high.

currently visiting Dubrovnik. I have my own car, so I opted to stay in a village outside of Dubrovnik (Cavtat) which is cheaper, and do day visits to Dubrovnik and its surroundings. I come from Czechia and the overall prices in Croatia are about the same as in CZ, but Dubrovnik is overpriced
@rokgoesaround2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your info. Smart. Cheers to Czechia 🤗

How and Where do I buy the Dubrovnik Card?
@rokgoesaround3 жыл бұрын
You can buy it on-line and save extra 10 percent www.dubrovnikcard.com In person you can buy it in the office on the square next to the Pile gate (entrance to the old town).

How to booked the private accomodation ?
@rokgoesaround3 жыл бұрын
You can simply look on Booking.com, Air Bnb and similar pages. All private accommodations are there. Even in private accommodation you will be registered, as they will scan your passport or ID and you will have to pay a tourist tax (it is usually included in the price of the accommodation).

Quick question I’m goin for 7 days to Dubrovnik . How much US money should I expect to waste I have everything planned out airplane ticket and airbnb it is just play money to eat, drink and explore the town I am curious I will waste
@rokgoesaround3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for asking. 7 days is quite a lot of time for Dubrovnik. You should consider few day trips like trip to Kotor in Montenegro and Mostar in Bosnia. If you do this day trips it will add to your bill. Maybe if you check my video: How much Time To See Dubrovnik you will get a clearer picture how much time you need in Dubrovnik. Location of your Air Bnb is a factor as Taxi is not cheap. I would consider spending about 35 - 40 EUR for standard seafood dinner with wine, another 30 EUR in restaurant for lunch, and about 10 - 15 EUR for coffee and refreshments during the day. If you buy a souvenir or something like that it is easy to say that you can expect to spend about 100 EUR per day. For sight seeing Dubrovnik card is a great deal. Hope this helps :)
