My husband is a recovering meth addict. He spent about a year hitting it HARD. He was an IV user. Finally had to quit after his kidneys gave out. Now at 43 years old, he's in and out of the hospital, takes 13 - yes THIRTEEN prescription meds a day just to keep him alive. Now has dangerously high blood pressure, Hep C & kidney failure. The drs told him he was killing his organs one by one and if he continued, he'd be dead within days. That shit is straight evil. I've seen him do and say things he'd never ever do if he was in his right mind. He's done 3 bids and has been sober for about a year now. It's a struggle every day, but he wanted to live. If you're addicted, please please quit if you can - before it is too late...

Problem is that heroin on itself is usually not that bad if u treat it with respect.. its when u get careless or mix with benzo it gets deadly. Sure it's Hella addictive.. But the problem is that with all the crackdown on heroin production u instead get fentanyl that is faaar more dangerous! If states just gave heroin to addicts that needed it u would get rid of all the od, the crime, etc.. and u would also get less kids getting into it... bcoz ppl would not need to sell to get their own. And it would be no money in smuggling since as soon as someone got addicted they could just get it for free from the state.. or at the same cost as cigarettes at the most. This is the way to solve it!

My best homie growing up got on that, I helped him get off and to keep him clean. I told him if he ever did it again though, I couldn't hang with him anymore. He was two completely different people. Homeboy ended up linking up with an old girl who was on it and he relapsed. I had to drop the homie on principal, he was crazy. Ended up dying not long after that, RIP. Meth is a horrible thing

I was 'active' with the 1%er Bandidos MC since 1985 - 2007. 'We'' had our own 'Cooks" that was the P2P-pill dope which was the 'good shit'. I have used & still do from time to time and still have all my teeth & hair. I do it for pain management reasons & am not a 'tweeker'-getting paranoid. I do agree that it does get the better of a lot of people & was locked up in BCADC---Bexar County Adult Detention Center ( San Antonio, Texas County 'Hell' Jail ) and just got out of the shower when another inmate came over-undressed & got in. He then started talking to me while smiling and said: "I am in here for killing two people." I then said: "Well they must have done something to deserve it." He responded: " No I got high smoking meth & killed them for no reason." Damn, I have NEVER heard of that~!!?!?

Thank you Dubs. I’m ashamed to admit it, but I was involved in poisoning my nice community with that stuff twenty years ago. Haven’t touched the stuff since the day I got busted. In the movies and in the music, it’s all about “don’t get high on your own supply”, but in my reality, endless access was the whole reason I was involved. Just a dumbass with a brutal habit. Getting busted and the years of incarceration that followed weren’t a good experience, but there’s no question in my mind that it saved my life and, more importantly, it was good for several people in my community. Towards the end of your video, I hopped down on my knees and reiterated to God that I’m sorry for the damage I caused my community back in the day, and again expressed my gratitude for his grace. I wouldn’t sell a fookin’ aspirin after that whole first time, small time, spotless record arrest and incarceration (nothing compared to you and many others, but at the time, an eight year sentence felt long…I know better now💯). Anyways man, THANK YOU for reminding me just how blessed I am. I can never really make up for all the damage I’ve caused, but I can work my ass off to be a regular, valued, contributing member of society by being a good dad (six year old son), a good co-parent, an asset to the organization I work for, a good son, a good family member, a good friend, and a good neighbor. Keep up the great work Bro.

I've seen people lose their families, careers,and eventually their lives over this drug. As a kid growing up we'd always see folks who used it,but the damage it's doing to people now is so much worse than ever. As a kid we'd see functioning dope friends ---the drug use would show,but it wasn't so striking as to make the fiends look like the walking dead. Being up on it for days and days would have fiends start to hallucinate and act crazy,BUT NOW you'll see people not using for awhile,get some,and suddenly without even being on it for extended periods of time and they are paranoid,hallucinating,and in no control of their mental faculties. The plastic in the eye seems par for the course. Sadly, I've seen people I've known for years start doing this drug and they are tearing at their faces saying that their are worms crawling through their cheeks and jaw. Whatever is being done now to make this drug is so much worse than it ever was. You used to see a tweaker or 2 in the neighborhood,but now you see whole neighborhoods populated by walking zombies. The drug is killing a whole generation of people and it doesn't seem to be getting better I pray to God that this epidemic can be got under control

Before fent of course there were ODs but nothing like the past 8 years. Big ups to dubs for all your stories and insight. I can tell you really been in the mix, and are telling the truth through your humility and stating that you were no one special in prison man.
