Ducati 1098 fuel tank leak

This is what it happens when you leave your bike in the storage for 5 years.
In this video I show you how I repair the leakage on the ducati 1098 tank.
I needed to change the viton o-ring but when I opened the tank.... I saw... a lot of dirt. So I cleaned the Bitron pump and changed the fuel filter too.

i haven’t gotten the O-ring yet it’s supposed to come today but no signs that it will arrive today also i order the same exact filter different bolts from monster bolts i tried getting the same grease but i ended up with a different one same brand but its different 😔 i thought I ordered the one you used but its a paste HT1200

What types of grease did you apply to seal it? Heat-resistant, water-resistant, or just multi purpose grease?

Hi! Thanks for the question. Just a general use thick grease to keep the oring wet . So is can be in great condition for longer time and to fit more easy to the correct position.

Does m5x16 work too? Is the grease necessary as well?

Sure 1mm longer is OK too. Use grease or anti seaze paste. So you won't have the screws stuck there in the future
