DUCATI 900ss Supersport Rebuild - Motorcycle Project : Bike Build : 900ss Projects Paused

94 or so episodes in a row !
Just a short upload to let you all know that The project 900 and ZXR Turbo are on hold for a while.
Our shop has been so busy with New Ducati sales, workshop jobs etc that at the moment I'm struggling to find time to do the weekly uploads.
Doing the 7am - 5pm, 5 days a week and most Saturdays means not alot of time to play on the projects.
Anyway I hope you hang around until I can continue the build, but for now its time for a break..
I will keep collecting parts etc and will hopefully be playing again in about 5 months or so.
If something cool needs to be rev'd up on the dyno or Assembled from new I will be sure to upload. Also the turbo streetfighter will need a fang before then too so I will be sure to upload something showing this weapon !

Cheers Todd Since I started watching this I have bought two cylinder oil restrictors with matching o rings for my 900ss. That's about it as far as my progress has gone in the last three months. 900 SS. Back in 1990, that was definitely the bike that turned my attention to Ducati because of its stunning design. The Japanese bikes still had the upper hand in performance but nothing else looked quite like the 900. Spoiler alert, Ducati caught up to the Japanese in performance.

They take soo long hey. 100 hrs so far on the tools. Probably another 200hrs on the editing of the vids so far. We are half way at a guess.

Glad you got the 'package' being too busy is a nice problem to have in the bike industry, 15 hrs to make the vlogs is about right. Most folks think it takes a tenth if that, but making content consumes time - lots of it. Enjoy the time with family Sandgroper, see you when you pick it up again - Merry Christmas.

Christmas was awesome Ron. So glad I pumped the brakes and stopped on the vids for a moment. That trick with the special syringe that you sent me for the threebond works soo good. That is honestly on of the best things I have seen in the last decade. Yep You will see me again man. Do some customers bikes ans source some parts and back into it ! Thanks again mate.

Let me know if you have trouble sourcing those dental irrigation syringes. The Patterson workshop will find them 'indispensable' 🤣 see what I did there, they are single use disposables!! 😁 3 bond doesn't stick inside them so you can pull the plunger out and re use. Sikaflex is tricky but it's doable. My 848 Evo is now ready for another year of mucking around at Morgan Park, 26th Jan - can't wait to get back on tbe track. Hope them bushfires are not close to the family, take care Sandgroper.

Hi Russell, yep I ended up getting the front caliper seals from Gownloch in Australia. The rear seals I got from a mob on Ebay called Powerhouse. They also did kits for the front calipers too.
