Super busy at work at the moment so I didnt get to work on the bike until later in the week. Still made some great progress in building airbox and fitting triple clamps. Also opened up a box from Italian Iron Classics that had a mint set of stock mufflers inside.

I’ve been following your rebuild from day one and am very impressed with your work as well as your tutorial skills. Keep it up. Cannot wait for the end result. I’ve learned quite a bit from you that I apply for my own little jobs - much less detailed and thorough as I don’t have half your skills. Best regards from a Dutch 1993 900SS owner.

Thanks you so much Hans. Really happy that you are liking and following me on this adventure deep into the 900ss. Honestly I think I have learned a lot myself. Like how to do things not rushed and taking my time using different methods to how I may normally do things. Cheers for commenting too mate.

Just a tip, best to use a small zip lock bag to pack grease in to bearings. Less messy & it really gets in. Small bags depending on the size of the bearings. Otherwise, great to witness a classic brought back to life!👌💯👍🇦🇺

I’ve always saved my stock pipes off my bikes but so many people just let them go. That’s a nice score to get stock ones in that condition.

Your media blaster does nice work, very pretty. I'm facinated to see how the calipers come back from cerakoting. 😔 too much corrosion hiding under the dirt so re anodising or coating is the only option. Would be interested to see how cerakote holds up on the front calipers in use. Thanks Todd great work as always.

They will be brilliant Ron. He has done heaps before he said. 1000% resistant to brake fluids. I haven't seen them yet be we will drool over them I'm sure. Thanks for always commenting man as apparently this help to get the channel out there in KZbin. And yes the vapour blaster is a wizard !!

@@turbobike749ha ha you got me, yes the algorithm helps elevate the channel. If there's plenty of comments! The small arms industry, where Cerakote was evolved , uses it widely. I just wonder how heat soaked caplipers hold up over time, small arms whilst they get hot don't get elevated heat soak. Anodising penetrates to become part of the material Cerakote doesn't- hence the curiosity. Try and keep it 'looking' original, the value in that is incalculable, so many bikes loose value as the 'improvements' are reflections of an owners taste. If the Ex Navy Lawyer ( your Premier ) would let you out of WA then the Bike Exibit at GOMA in Brisbane would show that. The Ducati exibit has some beautiful period bikes. Love your work Todd 👍

TBH the stock pipes do look great. I core mine though, to give them maximum rumble. I've got a set of Aluminum skin high-rise Termignonis for my 900SSie too.

For some reason I'm going for that "factory feel". I rode a fellas Honda Four the other day and the stock pipes just sounded mint. I have the open mufflers also but chasing the original new bike feel. Thanks for commenting also mate. It helps the channel grow. Much appreciated.

Why put the stock, restrictive, heavy silencers back on. There are still many good performance options available for the SS like SIL Motor.
