If you know how to ride a motorcycle properly,with your feet placed correctly on the footpegs,will the heel of your boots still interfere with the pillion peg mounting bracket like all the other Monsters?

I got quite large boots (47) and I don't have any issues. However, I did remove the pillion pegs (which is possible with the R, not so much with the others.)

I very much like your reviews John but think Ducati made a mistake by holding the press launch at a track. For someone like me who is interested in the R as a road bike it tells me little about living with it day to day. I'd guess 98.3% of bikers dont have track skills but want to know if they could live with such a machine. Your S review was spot on here.
