Ducati Monster 821 Air box removal

Before anything, I AM NOT AN EXPERT!! Just a self learner and Ducati lover. This is not a very difficult work either not very easy but a self taught can do it with simple tools. So after you remove the fuel tank, you simply remove all the connectors that are attached to the air box and also hoses. They are at the back, at the front, on right and the bottom. Be careful the blue connector and the small hose under the air box that you may somehow damage it. Then, loose 2 clamps on the intake manifold until you can move the air box a little bit after that you can just pull the air box up straight away. Take your time on it, remember to disconnect all connectors and remove hoses, don’t force it to come out. Good luck guys !!!

Thank you so much! I think the intake manifolds on my 2017 started leaking this weekend during a long, very hot ride. I hear a pulsating hiss hiss sound and my revs don't return to normal after letting off the gas (especially in first gear.) Your video is the only thing I've been able to find that describes changing them. Thank you!!

@@RoadSoundMotor I ordered new intake manifolds and after they arrived I took my Monster apart. Like an idiot I filled up on gas before starting the project 😆. Was a bit tricky with all the cables and zip ties but I got the job done ✅. I thought my one of my intake manifolds had cracked, but it turned out it just slipped off the air filter box causing the leak. Installed the new one anyways and it’s running perfectly now.

Do you have diagram or service manual? Quite straightforward. Once you remove throttle body and locate the tps then plug and play

I am afraid not. Owner manual only introduces riding guide and basic maintenance concern but Service manual or Workshop manual will show you the entire bike anatomy :D just google Ducati 821 workshop manual, pdf free download is available
