FWIW: I've had one for 2,000 miles now. I live in New England, with frost heaves, potholes, dirt roads, and lots of curves. It replaced my BMW F800GT which was too sporty for these conditions. I can second everything said in the review, except that I don't find my front brake annoying.

Which bike do you prefer handling wise, if the road is fine? I have heard some reviewers saying that the BMW was unstable over 70-80 mph. How's the Ducati in these conditions?

I found the brakes to be the same as the 1200, perhaps there's an adjustment? I also found the slipper clutch to be light compared to other bikes like the Triumph Explorer.

Thanks for the message. I am getting the bike back soon - a new master-cylinder has been fitted, so we will see how it goes. Jeff.

Hi, What's the bike's suspension like over rough road surfaces? Did you manage to take it off road at all? If so, how did it handle?

Do you want a bike to ride (Suzuki) or use the vehicle as a social climber (Doo car ti)?

do not buy it from misaligned panels, rust in the exhaust, vibrations at all rotations, very noisy engine after 10.000km, stupidly expensive maintenance and poor customer service, I'm seriously sorry I bought this bike, stay away from ducati

This just sounds like straight up promotional video of Ducati. .... fantastic, unreal, awesome, brilliant... not so good but fatastic and so on... you can really tell that given the choice you would go for 1200 in a blink of an eye. Next time try a bit harder as this was really difficult to watch and not convincing at all. The best quote of the review... "... you can lane split as well, which is fantastic..." ... lol

Sorry but I have to totally disagree. Reviewing bikes has been my full time job for 17-years. I have over 1000 reviews on file. I don't bullshit my readers or viewers - ever - for any manufacturer. I liked the bike and I prefer it to the 1200. For the record, Ducati were not happy with the review at all - due to my comments about the brakes - and they complained to me. Jeff Ware.

We all know that manufacturers dont like negatives about their product. I am not saying that the bike is bad neither (I would love to have one those). It just did not sound very convincing... too many superlatives and they way you described negatives just, so at the end you can say something along those line... "but it doesn't matter because it is fantastic anyway". Anyway, it is very similiar to Honda Crossrunner in shape and form. I wonder how would they compare.

I've owned five Ducatis and have watched many reviews. I thought his overview of the bike was very informative and balanced against the bigger version. You gave me the impression of being a borderline troll.
