I'm looking forward to mine. Just picked it up. New to adventure riding but been riding motorcycles for 20 years. Can't wait for this new "adventure".

Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally best bike ever made 100% Sure👌🔥
@jimpanzer0710 ай бұрын
Very nice review, just got the brushed aluminum Rally myself and love bike but am opting for the Ducati 20mm travel reduction kit as its just too high for the streets and I am 6' tall. Once down to 180mm travel on both ends it should be just about perfect, that and maybe a bit louder slip on to hear that great V4. The cylinder cut out at low rpms make it vibrate at under 3,000 rpms but smooths out nicely once over that rpm. Am getting around 41 mpg and motor is still breaking in so that number will go up with some more miles and fresh synthetic oil, the 8 gallon tank is most welcome and my main reason for buying this bike over the Grand Tour Multi with smaller tank, do not know what Ducati was thinking on that one. Overall a great bike and it feels around 100 pounds lighter once in motion, has some magic in the reverse rotating crankshaft!

You have one vote from me as DOCSGN President that Ducati should consider a shaft drive for its V4 Rally version 2.

On one hand the bike’s a masterpiece; certainly state-of-the-art. On the other hand is the throttle.

Yeah shaft drive for sure. Its part of the reason why the gs is top bike in this class.

Francesca is gorgeous! Does she comes with the Multistrada V4 Rally if I buy it? If she is than I'm definitely sold! Jokes aside, I've tested Multistrada V4 S back in 2021 when it first came out (you can watch the footage), and I was really astonished of how good that bike was. Probably the best bike I've ever ridden in my life, and I've ridden a lot of them. It's nice to hear that new V4 Rally is even better. And, yes, I also would prefer it more with a driveshaft.

I have owned several Big Bore Thumpers, all the goodies, I'm curious how windscreen, and saddlebags would hold up to a rough road, I mean are they going to Rattle off or break if the bikes leaves the ground and it's getting beat up by the terrain????????

Love it just sits so high.
@jimpanzer0710 ай бұрын
Ducati now offers a 20 mm reduction kit, I will be getting it as it is to high for me riding 99% street. Once lowered to 180mm travel on both ends it should be perfect😎

Très belle présentation, étant possesseur d'une Ducati multistrada V4 rally je ne peux que confirmer vos commentaires, je peux rajouter la consommation qui est pour ma conduite de 5,2 litres au cent kilomètres. 👍👍👍✌

Multistradas have been criticized for being very heavy on fuel, let's what the reviews say. Beautiful bike.
@etdbsub05 ай бұрын
Multis are heavy on fuel mainly because of too short gearings. And also because is a very pleasant bike to handle from middle to high revs.

Its good that Ducati has looked at seat height, its always been a KTM issue that because of their background they love tall seats that puts people off.

A shaft drive would make it over 600lbs and cut power by 25%. Which is ok on a large displacement cruiser. But not a high revving bike that makes 170 hp.
@mweingar Жыл бұрын
I disagree on this one. A 170 HP long range multi-purpose bike is precisely where folks like me want a shaft drive. At 170 HP you have plenty of headroom to make that exchange of some HP for lower maintenance through the life of the bike. And 25% is on the high side. It's around 20%. I own the Rally and I previously had a R 1250 GSA. The Rally is a MUCH better bike and would be perfect with that move to a shaft drive.

Great video, thanks Alun. 👏 Gorgeous bike too. If only it were £10k cheaper and did 10 more mpg, I would buy one in a heartbeat. Meanwhile, I guess I will just have to wait for ABR to give one away in a competition. 😁🤞P.S. If it had a shaft drive, would you give it 11 out of 10? 😉
@ABRmagazine Жыл бұрын
A shaft drive and it would have got 15 out of 10 🙂

Brilliant bike. Given the price, we all know that most if not all will spend their time overloaded with empty panniers at your local starbucks. Let's face it, those bikes will only see off road on their demo launch, unless the owner is a millionaire.
@keithrobinson5752 Жыл бұрын
Not that much different to most trendy 'retro' bikes that spend all this time parked outside 'artisan' coffee places in London, because the owners don't want to get their designer 'bike clothing ' dirty. And they can only stand being on the bike for 20 minutes because it is so uncomfortable😂
@nemerkha Жыл бұрын
@@keithrobinson5752 true, however retro bikes are just that. Ducati (and BMW) release £25k-£30k adventure bikes and advertise them as almost enduro capable. Sure they're designed and capable of serious off roading (in the right hands) but they end up being sold for pursuers of status and brand showing-offery.

I don’t get it… what’s wrong with drinking coffee, Starbucks or Artisanal? It’s a great drink… I often get one when I’m out for a ride, or a walk, sometimes in the car, on a plane, boat…..

It’s painful to again watch a review of an ADV bike by a journalist who tells their audience not to take an Adv bike off road, and trying to market the bike for road use by retirees. Can we PLEASE see a review by ABR by a journo who use the bike as Ducati advertised
@TwoGoTouring Жыл бұрын
Hi. I understand your position but it’s not so much painful as it is reality. I’m in a group of friends ranging from 40’s to early 60’s and we’re on a mixture of adv bikes. Forest tracks are the limits to which we take them as none of us can afford to abuse 20k bikes. But we tour a lot , 2up. As for retirees ….. I’m 62 and run 15 miles a week, and have ridden bikes since 11 years of age, enough said.
