Is self-maintenance on a Duc as horrible as people say? I figure it's just like any other bike, and everyone I've talked to says that they're 100x more reliable than they were a decade ago.
@sheparddoran23665 жыл бұрын
@@dillonhennion5859 here's the thing, it's very different from other bikes and very needy, but more fun to work on than something like my gsxr. So here's the scoop on testastretta superbikes. Valve adjustment and timing belts every 7500 miles or 2 years. They wanted $1600 at my dealer for that, and on these bikes you can't just skip that stuff. On a Japanese four it's more like $500 every 14,000 miles, and often they'll be in spec the first time. So basically, I'll talk people into buying one for the riding experience all day, but i wont lie to you on maintenece. Even diy, belts are almost 200, just the shims were $200 (on the gixxer you just exchange for free) and you need a lot og special tools. In other words, they are much much better to work on than people say (testastrettas at least. No idea on supetquadro) but if anything it's more expensive to work on than they say. So only get one if you're really ready for all that.

I certainly love the ducati looks much more than the daytona, and it feels a bit more comfortable I think. @mpc1414 жыл бұрын
@@dakoolguy111 Well I can't comment on the other bikes so this might be a bit bias, but: I think get the Ducati without a doubt. I use it as a daily and I have had no issues with the riding position. The sound is really up to your own preference and taste, but the 899 low-tone honestly sounds like thunder and I think it's one of the best sounding stock exhausts. Having been around Yamahas, KTMs, Kawasakis, I think it sounds the best by a long shot. And of course Ducatis have to be the best looking bikes on the market.
