You did pretty well there hanging onto that M5, the big advantage it has is in the corners and the driver, usually an ex racing driver, who does this lap many times every day, the disadvantage he had though would be a car load of passengers weighing him down. Good effort though, well done.

thank you . yes the drivers from ringtaxi are pro's who also compete in endurance racing and such , they are very good .

Nice video CS. I wish i had followed a fast car on the few times I went to the Ring. Reckon I did a total of over 25 laps, never really learned the track well enough to go at a corner with any real commitment and had at least one heart in mouth moment every lap. So, I reckon following someone who knows what they are doing is a smart idea - Doh!

Trolling the damn ringtaxi xDD you can really tell your 1000+ laps. Reminded me of my 2015ish foray on my ER-6f. Managed to enjoy the course I first encountered in Forza 2005ish, and prevented crashing. 3:00 despite trying to remember all of the 80ish turns, that chicane came as a true surprise to me xD. I was glad I was driving on sight! No more terroristenfahrten for me, it's balls of steel territory.

more content coming this season ! plan is to step the pace up a bit this year . the wind noise is bad i know , but thats what the gopro 7 does , i am upgrading to a gopr 9 so we will find out if thats better for the audio . cheers for checking the vid out

"Big 625 HP power", yes, but the M5 is a heavy saloon car weighing more than 2 tons with driver and passengers. So its power-to-weight ratio is pretty bad compared to a superbike like the Panigale. Considering this fact the M5 appears to be astonishingly fast on the Nordschleife.

yes it is slow in acceleration under 200 kph as you can see from the start where i go half trottle , normaly i get up to 270 ish speed there . however ,big power cars have massive acceleration above 200 kph compared to a bike . the m5 is very capable car and the driver can go a lot faster then he did for sure

I think the Ducati is well Overrated considering the cost new, I would love to see a Suzuki gsx 1000 in the same scenario🤔 I think the outcome would be different!!!

@@keen2b i think the pace is the rider not the bike . there is no outcome as it was not a race . its me chasing my friend who is on duty driving customers around . the ring is about having fun and going home healthy , the moment people trow that overboard is the moment they choose hospital sooner or later

Yes of course, to improve the times you should put a gear more and increase the speed in the corner, expecially at the entrance

its very tiring to hang on lol . cars have nothing on bikes in acceleration as the bike has less then 1 kilo to carry per hp .

I am confused. Shouldnt the bike be 2 times faster when accelerating and shouldnt the car be faster when going through corners? The biker is actually chilling in corners (never alot more than 45 degrees lean angle) and keeps up with the car which is driven by (most of the times) an ex racecar driver. Maybe nr.1 the bmw has 1000hp lmao and for nr.2 maybe people are liars and only the top end supercars and racecars are faster in corners. I‘ve batteled an r8 v10 plus in my r6. I was coming closer to him in every corner but he got me when reaching higher speeds because r6 dtops accelerating fast at ~240-250

you are correct . when we were accelerating i was taking it easy , because i could fly past him easy , you can see that in the beginning of the video , i shortshift and i am on his tail in 2 seconds . and yes a car can brake a lot later then a bike and enter the corner with a higher speed . however , this bmw is a ringtaxi . this means the company takes paying customers around this legendary track . they aim for a certain pace to go around , it has to be reasonable quick for the customers but this car and this driver can do a much much faster pace . and a big factor is that the bmw has 3 people aboard !
