Just broke the 1000km-mark on mine, Best bike ever hands down. I cannot stress it enough, and you talked about it too: it has to be the most SURPRISING comfortable seat. If you look at it, it doesn't look comfortable. Boom. Easy straight 100kms without any sore bums. Honestly, it's even more comfortable than the seat on my dad's Multistrada 950S. Ridden both on long rides. I have to say though, the cinematography/videography and editing, the music; all superbly magnificent.👏 Wonderful video mate, cheers! 👌

13:39 Can confirm. I put the evo-tech guard on my 2021 at zero miles when I took delivery of it with snow on the ground last year. ...yeah, it's an involved operation, even more so if you aren't willing to come away with any scratches or other damage. The evo-tech instructions left a lot to be desired.

I'm surprised you increased the engine braking, I found minimum way too much and hard work when not on the boil.. I loved the look of it but just not engaging enough for me, allmost too refined! Outstanding review though 👏
@KnoxArmour3 жыл бұрын
Thanks John! Yeah, I guess there isn't a right answer, but I've got quite strong engine braking on my gsxr and like the way it makes the bike handle, allows me to go in quite hot and hold a tight line through the corner, off throttle and basically no trail braking. Sure its not the only way to ride, but I like it and feel safe to me being off the brakes at lean. Personally I loved it! Aaron Knox
@kneesparks3 жыл бұрын
I know what you mean Chopsy about the engine braking. I was a little deflated when I 1st kicked my 2021 SFS head in for the 1st couple of times. I then discovered that the engine power was on medium in all engine settings. Changed it to dynamic/High and the thing wheelie everywhere in 1st 3 gears off the throttle, 4th and 5th with a slight crest or pebble. I'm not sure how you find it not engaging enough? It's an awesome bike and puts my 2018 Tuono V4 1100 Factory to shame along with my old ktm SDR 1290 2016.

I own a Panigale V2. A few months ago, I test rode the Streetfighter V4S, and it was one of the best bikes I've ever ridden! It was actually easier to ride than the Panigale V2. I personally prefer the Panigale V2 because of its looks and because of its aggressive riding position.

Excellent review as usual . I test rode one in summer and loved it ,but on warm dry roads riding how it's meant to be only got 68 miles to a brimmed tank of fuel. I couldn't live with that . If ducati up the tank to 18.5 litres I'm sold. My superduke 1290 will do 110/120 miles to a full tank.
@KnoxArmour3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Darren! Amazing bike but yes fuel range is annoying. My good friend has one and says the same, irrespective of how he rides its only getting 80 ish miles. He did get 68 miles too on one run, but that's using the new E10 petrol we have in UK, which is crap. He'll have to use super unleaded in future. Aaron Knox

This is one of the most honest reviews of the bike. I own a 2021 SFV4S in red and the review is spot on. Gas range is very annoying, I am always the 1st one of the group to stop, for god's sake, my wife gets 200kms per tank our of her Panigale V2 and I get 230km out of my Tuono 1100. Cruise control was a big miss (I have it on the Tuono V4-1100 and I use it all the time) and last but not least, the button for the headed-grips was very annoying, I hate buttons that do nothing, Installed the headed great and it was probably the best money I have spent on the bike.

Hey here's a question - does anyone actually try to do the whole -- what is it? 1200-1400mile break-in period below 6K and then 7K? I've tried to be pretty good but at times on interstate I've needed 7K+ just to keep ahead of vehicles I didn't want to be around -- on a highway with a 75MPH Speed Limit where people often do 80 minimum -- and I've been on some pulls I just didn't want to get out of at 6 or 7K. It took me all year to put 700miles on mine -- now past the first oil change and graduated to 7K RPM limit per the manual -- the break-in period is a slog.

How would you compare this to the Z-H2? I own a Z-H2 however I am thinking of getting a Streetfighter also for its V4 engine.
@KnoxArmour6 ай бұрын
For me the ZH2 engine is on another level, absolutely incredible... can't imagine the V4 to be any quicker or nicer to use. But the streetfighter is a more high performance machine, better chassis, geometry, and much better components (suspension, brakes) etc, which makes it feel very high performance and special as a bike. But the engine on the ZH2... I don't think that can be compared to anything, its amazing! Aaron KNOX
@Floyd-df2uq6 ай бұрын
@@KnoxArmour Many thanks for the response Aaron. Yes that supercharged engine is something else 🙂. I've got a full exhaust and ecu flash and tune, and it puts out 229bhp at the rear wheel. Safe to say I've only pinned the throttle at Silverstone on a track day. Don't have the cojones to do that on the road :D. You're right about the components on the Z-H2. I've got a full Nitron fork internals and shock on mine and Hyperpro steering damper to give me some confidence that it won't shake its head under hard acceleration.
@KnoxArmour6 ай бұрын
@@Floyd-df2uq that sounds incredible. Would love to ride one that was sorted like that! I would imagine that it has transformed it for you. Zh2 definitely needs the proper steering damper, it was a bit scary without one. Enjoy!!

@@christospakyriakou thanks. I think the main issue is, is you do a lot of track days, the panigale is probs a better set up as its a proper sportsbike, but if you ride mainly on the road, sfv4 is next level. Maybe go and sit on them in a dealership to make your mind up. Hope that helps. Aaron Knox

If you want the BEST? Go Ducati, Mine has been flawless mechanically and electronically. The way the power never ends is incredible, i do understand why the V-2 was needed, sometimes i never use 1/2 the power. But if you like stupid speed, the Streetfighter is the only choice. It only has 1 downfall, the fuel tank needs to be increased. Its a thirsty motor , fuel stops can get annoying. Bike is worth every penny!!

Cant agree more ! My 2021 has the full Akra system, MAP and low restriction air filter. Came alive after 3,000 miles,, Now with just shy of 10,000 miles, EVEN faster. This bike is so predictable. had a hard time on the dyno preventing wheel hop. when we got it,, 207 too the pavement !! Launch control, WILD. Ran a 9.54 in the 1/4 mile. NOT happy with the quick shifter, occasionally false neutral from 4th into 5th. This bike BEGS too be ridden hard and so forgiving. It's my daily transportation. Be safe guys..

Great review Aaron! But did you do the 0-60 time? That's where it's at and what matters on the road! Is it quicker than the panigale V2 you tested? Which you said was the quickest launch you had on the channel. The streetfighter is fast yes, but I don't think the necessarily the most fun, on the road?
@KnoxArmour3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Perry. Tbh, ref the times, I only got about 4 full runs on it due to other activities on the airfield, so I'm not sure I extracted all of the potential. I'm sure with a bit more practice I could have got it faster etc and dialling in the electronics too. Having said that, I don't think it'll be any faster 0-60 or even 0-100... maybe on track where you are exiting corners 80-100 and then going to 150-160, the v4 would pull away a bit, but standing start, it won't. I back that up because we compared our 2019 gsxr1000r to the panigale v2 and pretty much found those results. Only in gear and above 100 the gsxr would pull away. Hope that helps. Aaron Knox
