I have my Dark Stealth S.F. a year. Had the AKRAPOVIC full system , MAP and low restriction air filter installed Prior to delivery. This bike is my every day transportation, 10,000 miles in 11 months. The bike came alive, power wise, after 3,000 miles. NOW, even faster. I'm competitive, street and track riding and take it too the limits. Dino results,, 207 @ the rear wheel ! Standing 1/4 mile, 9.54 seconds. Launch control IS wild. IT has a drinking problem,, less then 30 M.P.G. lol.. And of course, at speeds above 140 MPH, the wind wants too separate you fro the bike. I make excuses to ride. This bike cost two times what I paid for my first house in 1980 !! OH, I'll be 73 in April..

@@Mr100asd in the early 90s I lived for most a season at Whistler BC. A guy had a then new 911 4s. He drove that things every day on mucky salted roads, and he drove it well and hard. After how disappointed ☹️ you were with the BMW it’s good to know there are so many other motorcycle brands out there that it’s almost impossible that at least one of them don’t have what someone is looking for and in this case it’s Ducati. Yes probably the V2 would be the wise and more practical choice for the everyday riding and of course more affordable option and it is still a very capable and good looking bike…The V4 seems more like the fantasy bike or that thing that if you have the money, you can get, but can you really possess it? 😁✌️Thanks for an extraordinary video (like usually) and have a very happy new year!

I've watched many of these Streetfighter reviews now and reckon there's nothing my Monster R can't do on typical road conditions. Looks better, and for a used low mileage version you'll pay half the price for the same performance and better looks. I reckon 1% of bikers do track days, but for the rest of us?
@adamniswonger8015
@adamniswonger8015 2 жыл бұрын
Mostly right, but that applies to any sportbike built in the last 5 years. To that end, a street triple RS will generally smoke every Monster built for a much cheaper price. I’ve owned a good mix, including said street triple RS, I wicked tuned Hyper 1100, super Duke r, and now this same SFV4S along with probably 2 others. I never fit properly on the older Monsters. You are missing out the ridiculously good suspension. The range of function is leaps ahead of the non-active versions.

I own and love both, under 9000rpm the Monster R is funnier to ride but the SFV4s is a rocket above 9000rpm, silly fast for the road, scares the shit out of you, do you need so much power? probably not, the SFV2 will certainly be a great road bike. I've test ridden Streetfighter V4 back in 2020 when they first came out, including taking it up to it's top speed. I'll probably release the footage later. What really astonished me is the superb handling it has at any speeds, the ease of riding, and especially the unbelievable stability and maneuverability at high speeds, which I never encountered on any other motorcycles before (and I tested a lot of them). So, yeah, Streetfighter V4 is truly AMAZING bike in this sense. But at the same time it's extremely impractical, boring and uncomfortable (due to vibrations) to ride at sensible speeds, fuel thirsty because of the unreasonably high gearing, and very physically painful to ride at high speeds due to aerodynamic pressure pushing my helmet against my face. Therefore, my conclusion on Ducati Streetfighter V4: it is extremely cool and fun bike to take for a test ride for a couple of hours, but it's really not good and pointless bike to own and daily ride. And if you want a bike with almost the same level of handling, speed, and fun, but at the same time comfortable, practical, versatile, and awesome to ride almost everywhere - get a Multistrada V4 than. But that's for another story.

I've ridden those roads on a Vespa and almost kept up with bikes with three or four times the power and far better brakes. I'm sure I was having more fun on something slow being ridden at 100% than the riders barely touching the throttle on their bikes.

I own a Super Duke and a MV AGusta Dragster 800rr Pirelli edition. Streetfighter is a beautiful semi naked. I love my Super Duke because you can see the whole engine similar to Ferrari or Lambo. If the Streetfighter allowed you to see the whole V4 they would of made a sale to me. SD still allows all its horsepower and torque below 9500. More so than Streetfighter at least to 9500.

I have a 165 HP BMW S1000R, which I ride exclusively on the road and there has NEVER been an occasion where I wanted more power. Not sure why anyone would get a non faired/windscreen bike with this capability. You can't use nor enjoy it at anything above 60 mph, as wind and turbulence become the focus. I've used my KTM 1290 SDGT to its fullest with the aid of needed wind protection that were very welcome while experiencing the wonderful superbike capabilities the bike had to offer.

@@BarryMDHoMy SFV4S has SW Motech bags, Ducati windscreen, etc. it’s perfectly comfortable to do distances at speeds well above 60mph. It’s limitation is fuel range, not comfort. I also own a Multistrada. 1-3 day trip, I’d opt for the Streetfighter unless distance between fuel stops was a concern. 4+ days, or if it’s going to be rainy and cold, Multistrada for luggage, softer suspension and fuel range. I’m sure the SDGT is very good. I know a guy who has one and he likes it. I’ve owned a 990SD and 525 EXC, and have ridden the Gen-2 1290 hard enough to appreciate its strengths and weaknesses. My problem with the KTM SDGT and the brand in general is aesthetics.

Wonderful as the V4 is on the road you're never get anywhere near even half its potential, last month Bike magazine done a test of the smaller siblings of the V4, KTMs Super Duke 1290, Yamahas MT-10 and Triumphs 1200 Speed Triple, they came to the conclusion that the middleweights were more practical, cheaper (in the Ducatis case the Monster was almost exactly half the price of the V4) and way more importantly more fun, Bike was so impressed by the new Monster that it's their bike of the year.

Germany has been having budget surpluses for a number of years now. Italy had a budget surplus in the last quarter of 2019 before the pandemic started. The inflation is half of what the capitalists' paradise US has. Italy's budget deficit had been consistently reducing in the years before the pandemic as well. So they're on the way to handling their debt problem. Italy has a big current account surplus (more exports than imports) and the 30-year bond rate is 2%, hardly an indication for inflation. You need to improve your news sources.
