Personally i think she enjoyed running in the upper circles and while she wanted to have high status and sought it by having an affair with the king, i dont think she wanted to actually marry him and her back was against the wall with him getting obsessed with her, threatening to off himself if she left him and then him abdicating forcing her to stick by him to save face. He was her karma for leaving her husband and she was his excuse to avoid and run away from his duty to his country. All i can say is that she was a very brave woman to take on all the hate, anger and disrespect from the world while being stuck with a directionless man who was became dependent on her instead of taking care of and protecting her as a husband should.

Wallis Simpson only wanted to be Edward’s mistress. She was in love with her second husband, Ernest Simpson and never intended to leave him. Edward became obsessed with Wallis and used her as a reason to abdicate. He enjoyed the status of being king but not the job. When Wallis wanted to detach herself from Edward after he indicated his intention to abdicate, he threatened to unalive himself. Wallis was forced to proceed with a divorce from Ernest and marry Edward. She was very distraught and wrote letters to Ernest expressing her sorrow.

Just look at some of the men and women who have held power in the old days, most of them were not your typical foxy thangs. It was a very different era, but in the end, we are all just imperfect people. They really loved each other. It's obvious by him abdicating the throne and her distress during his funeral and after his death. Love is strange sometimes. It makes sense to the ones in love, but not to the rest of the world. After I got married, my husband and I stayed in the Windsor suite at the Queen Mary ship Hotel, which is docked in Long Beach, California. The suite had the original furniture (don't know if they still do) and their pictures were on the walls. It's very vintage, classy, but quite simple. That was their suite when they travelled together by ship back in the day. The Queen Mary is much like a smaller version of the Titanic. My husband chose that for our honeymoon. :) Romantic, I guess. I read that Wallis died due to problems caused by smoking, bronchial pneumonia, which also affected her brain, narrowing the arteries which as a result caused dementia, and so on. Another really good video. Fascinating stuff.

Everything he did was to thumb his nose at the thought. His Royal Family and the People reacted to this as they did, which was quite appropriate. Wallace seemed to social climb. I cannot fathom how cruel she was to her husband Simpson. How anyone went along with her about all this, much less her Husband, is beyond me. @@gigiinspired780 We are all dependent on men , as they are dependent on us , that too is as old as time , l think social climbing is more to do with someone wanting to change their social class , rather than just gaining money.

I agree that everyone knew Edward was not fit to be King, and Wallis was a plan. But it backfired because she had to marry Edward. Years later, letters to Ernest were discovered where Wallis kept writing how much she loved him. Is it really Ernest that didn't care that Wallis was with Edward, or was it the plan was working. I believe that the King put this plan in action, and the rest of the royals did not know.

I have heard that if you freeze beef tenderloin for 3 days in the deep freezer it is safe for consumption raw. Lots of people do use raw tenderloin in carpaccio, kibbe nayeh (usually lamb), steak tartare, etc. Well, it feels like I have tried every diet imaginable so maybe I will try this one .. no alcohol thanks but perhaps a scoop of soluble fibre in water to keep the microbiome happy.

She has a very interesting appearance and I do think she’s pretty as well. I’m commenting because some of her outfits shown were amazing! I especially liked the loose knit thin see-through weather with a belt look. There's another image where she's wearing a white collar shirt. I've never seen a collar in that shape with I can only try to describe as wavy edged. Another interesting thing about her appearance was her hair as it really added to her slender regal aristocratic appearance. Thank you for bringing her and all of the other ladies on your channel to my attention!

Another great video thank you. I’ve read several books about her and the Duke of Windsor I’ve seen interviews of individuals that were told by their father they had met her Wallace Simpson. It’s been said allegedly and you may cover this in the video because I’m commenting before I said that they thought she was, not a man, but a inner sex individual, and then they go on to mention the characteristics that she had, which I find very interesting

Contrary to popular opinion that she was not a beauty - she was in fact very beautiful in her late teens and 20’s. She had beautiful blue eyes contrasting with her glossy dark hair, good complexion and stunning square jaws. Women of today undergo plastic surgery to have her jaw line and her chin. She was stunning in my opinion. She was slim, elegant and smart. She was a total package. She was hated that was why she was never given her dues.
