I love the sound effect that plays whenever Floyd throws something away. It's in every clip.

It is not well known but the cook who baked the pea's birthday cake was... Delia Smith! Seriously. It is when she baked this cake for the production company that she first visited Norfolk and fell in love with the county and began her life-long support for the football club - I know !! I wonder what they did with all the food they ruined during the filming (2:45) of this and every other episode ?? Bless 'im - we miss 'im... they broke the mould after they made 'im, innit?!

You don't have to make a stock. Marco White would have used a Knorr Pot stock. Love Floyds cooking.

This guy was hilarious. But I think he would've had fewer colds if he'd have given up the alcohol. I'll credit him with one thing; he made British cooking look great, and that's no easy trick.

Agreed. British cooking has some great dishes.. especially savoury pies, proper sandwiches and very good cakes. When people say they don’t like British food it is often because it is too bland for them. But, not everyone wants hot chilli and really spicy food.

@nighterjay Keep your hair on. I lived in Britain, and when it came to eating out, I opted for the nearest Indian or Arab restaurant. I've been to some quaint English eateries in Stratford and Bath, but mostly I found the food to be bad. Btw, Southern cooking in the USA is 90% UK cooking, but with more hot pepper.

@nighterjay I hear ya. I went to Paris once and I detested the food. How am I supposed to enjoy my lunch when it's in tiny portions and served by snarling Parisian garcons? Those arseholes would've bullied me into ordering boiled mice in cream. I've been advised that when in Paris, go for the nearest Arab restaurant. Jackass Chirac once said "after Britain, Norway has the worst cooking." For hte above reason, I place French cooking right after Scotland.
