Beautiful meaty pieces of oxtail indeed, I would hang a painting of that on my wall. Only too bad it couldn't provide the flavour and aroma, but if it would be a really good painting maybe it could even bring that back - from previous sittings - along with other memories. If not, just start cooking then! Or whatever the case just do, anyway! (Oh darn, I actually wrote that mid-video before Floyd started talking about paintings. We must've felt the same RIP)

I consider myself sort of a badass when it comes to oxtails. If i may say so. I don't however take the fat off, I brown them as is and braise in beef stock and aromatics, for soups. Obviously for a spaghetti sauce they get browned then some tomato paste added before hitting the sauce for a good 3-4.5 hr.simmer. Browning the paste is key.. ;-)
@annother33505 жыл бұрын
you can always skim the fat at the end

You simply cannot over estimate Floyds positive influence on British food, and cooking. People wanted to be him (maybe not that much like him lol), to be that person dipping their finger in some gorgeous tasting meaty dish, and tasting the red wine. Loving food.
