Duck Composting System - Lazy Man Work's One Day a Year

Yep the ducks and the few bantam chickens do all the work and all I do is pick up eggs and dump the leavings in the pit. I do about 8 hours of actual work a year to produce several yards of the best compost you can get your hands on. The birds love doing their part. My view on compost is if you are working hard to make compost you are doing it wrong.

Those that follow the 21 day Berkely composting system flip there piles every 2-3 days depending on how fast the pile heats up. If you want fast turn over ya gotta work it. No problem with Jack's method. I am even lazier. I gather all the leaves in the yard and compost them. Takes about a year but I end up with excellent leaf mould. I don't turn it at all, just keep it watered every week.

I started to watch this on your Odysee channel but I could not adjust the quality down to where my satellite internet was not constantly pausing to download. I watch KZbin on 144 but Rumble allows sometimes 240 but usually 360 or 480 as the lowest quality, and Odysee does not allow any choice. So I usually watch on KZbin. I would like to support the other channels but I don't have all day to wait for downloads.

For the life of me I have no idea why people get their knickers in a twist over composting. It's just decomposed maternal. You just leave it and nature does the rest. I just grab the good stuff from the bottom of the heap....simple!

kitchen scrapes laying out in the yard attracts rats/mice/possums and roaches at my house. Barn cats help, but I would never do that.

This is true but their are solutions for that as well. I leave the rat snakes alone when they show up and trade a few eggs for keeping the mice population down. A couple electric wires around the chicken run keeps out the opossums, raccoons, and bobcats. Works for me anyway!! 😀
