DragonB70 is the best. I watched him once playing against Kapik1337 and their game humbled me. It was a time scramble par excellence and nearly every move was accurate until the end with a nice checkmate finish. I could never reach their level of mastery in duck chess (and I am No. 8 on the leaderboard). 🙂

It's so good. I can't get enough of the Duck Chess content. It's like getting the opportunity to peer back and see how people worked out Chess strategy centuries ago. I love the fact that the existing engines haven't really learned the game, and that the duck can be used to block the obvious "Best Move" your opponent would've played in actual chess.

It looks like in duck chess you really need to make a new valuation of the different pieces. Especially knights are very strong since their attacks can't be blocked by the duck. You can see it in the way black got checkmated in this game. The only way to threaten the king effectively with the rook is to make sure it is directly next to the square the king is in or going to be in (which in a direct attack would leave it open to capture), but with the knight you can still attack from a distance.
