One of the reason I love watching duck commander videos vs all the new yuppy duck hunting videos is they always say how they are gonna cookem an witch ones taste better an always talking about eating them. Nobody else on their videos talk about eating the ducks its it's always aBout killing a limit or how many they can kill.
@DuckCommanderOfficial5 жыл бұрын
We're all about eating here. That's what it's really all about! Field to table not trophies.
@79meatstick5 жыл бұрын
That’s the reason to hunt is for food. We eat everything we kill. My kids can’t get enough of wild game.
@csf.outdoors79334 жыл бұрын
Hunters used to not talk about eating the ducks because they assumed everyone knew that's what they did but now that more non hunters are out there it's good to talk about it so they know that's what we do
@stonehorn46414 жыл бұрын
There were only 3 ducks ive killed that i didnt eat. All three are pristine flying mounts in my home office. Eventually i plan to have a mounted drake and hen from every species. Otherwise, I shot 244 ducks last year, 193 geese, and every single one made it to somebody’s table. I thawed out two dozen duck legs to make a delicious duck leg gumbo for easter tomorrow. God bless and happy easter

Its only "skybusting" if you miss. I have heard people say "no skybusting, decoy them, call them in and earn the birds. I spent a hundred dollars on gas scouting thiese birds, laid out my 3500 dollars of decoys and called em" as if that is required. Well if you hit a bird, You earned it. dont matter how much money you spent on decoys and gear. Next time you see a huge decoy spread on a hunt video, count the shots, and count the number of birds that fall. Many video "hunters" have very very bad shot/kill ratios.....at 20yds. So, dont risk missing a bird with a shot or two at 60yds ( provided you have skill and a gun/load that will do it, like a 10ga). Spend tons of money on gas and decoy spreads, call em into 20yds ...then miss em. Thats the "right" way to do it 😅

God I can’t wait to start knocking out some early season green wing teal this fall. We get a two week rush of teal up here in Eastern Canada at the beginning of the season. Little birds, but so damn delicious. Nothing like hunting a cold morning, and making a hot duck leg gumbo for you and your friends and family in the afternoon. God has blessed Canada with so many ducks (and geese) that our freezers are always full of fowl (and deer, moose, elk, turkey, grouse, rabbit, beaver, bear). The greatest grocery store on earth is in my back yard, and social distancing is a must.

Dave Darosa absolutely. Woody’s make a great meal. Better than Mallard I think. But Green Wing Teal are first on my list of fowl. Snipe are amazing as well.

And thankfully in Canada, we have so many ducks and geese we can limit out on both within a couple of hours. Ducks on the pond at daylight, geese in the field behind my house 90 minutes later. Anen!

That's what I thought about that weird duck that Jase shot... It's like a cross between a woody and a pheasant. Pretty bird for sure!!! I duck and goose hunted religiously every year down in SW Louisiana where I'm from but these last 10 or so years I've hunted maybe twice just because we don't get birds down here anymore. We'll get the teal, a few big ducks and always have the wood ducks but that's about the extent of it. I took a drive down the roads where all the rice fields are off of that we use to hunt and they didn't even have any snow geese in them even though 10 years ago you couldn't see the fields because there was to many birds in them. For whatever reason they don't make the trip down here anymore they stay up north...

@@Bryce54 That and a King Eider are Bucketlist ducks for me. I wrote the mandarin off because they're native to china where you can't hunt or possess firearms. How does that happen? Fuck me, just gonna have to buy duck hunting leases down in Louisiana until I snag one. Thanks for the time stamp man that was really cool to see.

That spectacular duck was a mandarin duck. He is ver close to a wood duck. The Hens of the two species are nearly identical, the main difference is the eye lid on a mandarin hen is a tear drop shape where is on a hen wood duck is circular. The mandarin duck is native to China. That is the duck of my dreams. I would absolutely love to kill one.

These videos show a lot more than you'd think for an experienced viewer. Like what type of water they shoot over( Flooded Timber, Oxbow ponds, man-made impoundments or naturally occurring ponds and creeks/rivers). It also shows the preferences each hunter has for his/her Gun(s), Call(s),concealment and their favorite Boat/traveling method. One of the main reason viewers love these classic Duck Commanders videos is because they also include the conversations that happen during the hunts in between the shooting. I found nothing boring about this video, and hope they post more.
