There would be no point into naming a captain for only 1 year. It should be on a longer term.

@@mightyjerseys93 Yeah, good point. Haven't thought about it althought it's pretty obvious. On the other hand, I would expect the future captain to be alternate first. McTavish hasn't been of course and Terry has been for a very short term. So if we expect one of the young stars to be named captain any time soon, maybe there will be a short-term captain first.

Quebec City sells 18,000 tickets at 25 CAD per ticket. Slightly more than a movie ticket. NHL tickets average 100 CAD. Good seats and popular visiting teams average 240 CAD. Quebec fans didn't pay the NHL prices 30 years ago and it was alot cheaper then (relatively speaking) than it is now.
