It's funny how some people HATE him, he's the most interesting coach and he can turn really mediocre teams into serious competitors. Let's face it, Flyers were projected to be worse than Blue Jackets or Ducks last season and for a reason. Then we nearly made the playoffs.

The end of season rise of multiple players was exciting! Was awesome watching these kids step up and put on a show. Now it's time to utilize and implement that into the whole season. I could see these guys in the first round, maybe the second depending on the matchup. Which would be massive! ​@Vestu

(this from a long time Avs fan) This guy is my idea of a coach and has been my favorite coach across many different sports for the last 2 decades... The guy knows what he's doing he's good with the team and individuals and he can get excellent results. He's an excellent coach and any team should be happy to have him. I genuinely rooted for the Flyers last year and will again this year because of this man.

I always respect any man...any coach that can say...."that's on me! I screwed up!... I gotta do better." That's what a leader does. Takes responsibility. Even times when it isn't their mistake or their responsibility. Takes the blame for the club. That's what a team is!!! The single best this our club has going for it is a tight locker room. When players are playing for each other...and not their own stats or their next contract. Fighting together. Man...that can make up for a lack of talent or speed or whatever. Anything...is possible. FERDA! One faceoff, one shot, one shift, one period, one game and one day at a time, boys! FERDA!!! FERDA boys!

Torts has a scrupulous understanding of the game -- he is a scholar, really. It is simply incomprehensible how people dislike him. I cannot think of a better coach and I hope he is here for a long time. I should add, too, that he is one of the only old-school coaches left. He has balls.

I think you misunderstand the goal of media. Media's goal is to get people to read, listen, watch them. Without creating drama and controversy, they can't compete with those media who ARE doing this. Now the key players Konecny, tippet have no incentive to care about the team because it's already been decided that michkov is the team. The defence is awful and ersson is a .900 goaltender. End result= Tortorella is no longer relevant
