The fun part about Pea Vine is that it not only boosts itself, but also torchwood's fire buff (2x -> 6x, if Pea vine is maxed, 3x -> 9x if Blue Fire). This means that placing a Pea Vine on a Torchwood already allows you to deal some ludicrous damage at a super cheap cost if both are maxed out.

Fun fact: If you made appease mint (inside vine or pumpkin) frozen in frostbite cave or any levels that involve freezing mechanic, when the mega Gatling pea shoot , It'll shoot in it's plant food mode forever until the mint is gone.

Rankings w/ explanations (mainly at lvl 1, unless stated otherwise) 16th: Split Pea For its niche, it is still one of the worst. Its a peashooter against most zombies and is also more expensive. Just a bad plant. 15: Tumbleweed Very wierd plant. Can be planted anywhere, and can be buffed by torchwood, but neither seem to make this plant any better. Only redeeming quality is a chance at blower instakill. Again, another bad plant. 14: Bowling Bulb The plant is good... for about 3 seconds until all it's bulbs have been shot, then it has to regrow them, one at a time, Very slowly. If there is a zombie in its lane while it recharges, it fires, even while it is regenning bulbs, and to top it off, it doesn't even regenerate the hardest hitting without leveling it up a decent amount. Really bad. Plant food is the only reason it isn't bottom. 13. Peashooter Just a statistically bad plant. It is good until you get repeater, or another attacker like it, then it is awful. 12: Starfruit A plant based around the idea of spamming, yet isn't even the best in its family at it. Deals the same damage as a peashooter, and can attack in multiple lanes and backwards. Pretty ok plant, just a lot of better options for what it does. 11:Threepeater Shoots a single pea in the lane it is in and adjacent lanes to itself. Only really good for "Do not have more than" objective levels and possibly certain mold colony patterns. It can hit zombies on its lane with 2 peas I'd they are close enough to the plant, but still not a great multi lane option. Snapdragon, Rotobaga, and Starfruit all do it's job better. 10: Dandelion Can shoot in 3 lanes with heavy damaging explosive buds which deal splash damage. Downside being, it slowly fires in one lane at a time. It has conjunction with plants that blow,, but not worth almost 300 sun. Just buy a melon pult. 9: Repeater 2 peas at a time for double the cost. All around good plant. Nothing actually negative to say here besides can't hit a few zombies. 8. Primal Pea Very underrated plant. Heavy damaging peas do around the same dps as repeater after accounting for it firing slower. It can knockback almost any zombie, and is just an amazing support plant to use to start levels, and to keep throughout. 7. Red Stinger For 150 sun, fires 2 buds at zombies that do 50% more damage than peas. It would go higher, if it could do that lawnwide, but because of its gimmic with being more defensive, it only edges out Primal Pea. 6: Pea Pod Legitimately an amazing plant if you stall the zombies tremendously. 600 sun isn't nessisarially effective, but it's Plant Food and extreme effectiveness when paired with torchwood make him worth it. 5th: Torchwood Simply doubles or triples pea damage. Would be higher if it gave splash to peas, but considering everything it can do, it doesn't even really need it. 4th: Appease-Mint is really good, buffing every plant on this list to heaven and back. It's placement ability isn't the best but can pair with torchwood for better results. 3: Mega Pea Gatiling Highest possible dps of its class (600, 120x5 peas) when leveled but without it too expensive for its job. Really good plant to put on minecarts or on lanes where zombies funnel in to maximize his dps, but even without that he's an amazing plant, despite being very overrated. 2. Rotobaga You wouldn't think that a free plant would be better than its premium counterpart, even less so better than almost its entire family. Cheap, 3 round burst that can be spammed extremely easily, does more damage than peas and shoots at the plants diagonals. Only really struggles against zombies that block or avoid projectiles. Extra bonus bring that it flies. If you somehow don't have them or don't use them get them and start using them. Top 3 free plants easily. 1. Pea Vine If you don't have this here you are delusional. I have never personally used it but even just from the limited knowledge I have on it, it is op as hell. Buffs Apoease-mint plants, does insane damage itself, and can be placed over plants, meaning it doesn't even take a tile. Popcap plz nerf

I used pea vine and torchwood in every opportunity that makes sense. This is the most overpowered combo in the game. If excavators and jesters weren't in the game, I'd use this for every arena match.

I disagree with the placement of 3 peater. He is at least better than repeater because planting 2 of them in the same lane is having 3 repeaters 3 different lanes. 3 peater is good when he is placed enough because he can provide more peas than repeater does. Plus for the cost of one pea vine you can have 3 peas boosted.

16. Peashooter - Basic plant, nothing else 15. Tumbleweed - Very RNG based 14. Split Pea - Same as Peashooter except it has a pretty useful secondary role. 13. Dandelion - It attacks so slow and inconsistent 12. Pea Pod - Good when stacked but very expensive 11. Starfruit - Rotobaga is better for me. 10. Repeater - Red Stinger and Threepeater is better. 9. Primal Peashooter - Good with Blover but very slow and RNG based attacks. 8. Red Stinger - A.K.A. the better Repeater 7. Threepeater - Good plant but reliant on Pea Vine. 6. Mega Gatling Pea - the better Pea Pod. 5. Appease-Mint - it's a good mint but the plants above it are better. 4. Bowling Bulb - I love this plant. Deals high damage especially with PF. 3. Torchwood - it's very good, that's pretty much I can say. 2. Rotobaga - OP plant. Just like Bowling Bulb it deals very high damage. 1. Pea Vine - it boosts every Appease-Mint plant so it's THAT great.

Yes im a favorite. 4: Dandelion: he is weak, but if you level him, he will be strong. He can shoot bomb in three lines, but only one at a time, so if he is leveled up, he can defend 3 lines as once. "Keep away Blower from me. I SAID KEEP IT AWAY!" 3: Pea vine: not much, just boosting peas, but its cool ability. "I dont have anything to say... you said everything from me." 2: Starfruit: He can shoot in 5 directions. If you plant three lines of him, no zombie what can defeat them. Okay, some is. "I got only one teeth. HOW!" 1:Red stringer: he is the most powerful plant in the plant kindom, his laser is deadly, cant get killed by shovel, jester. The laser also have cool sound. :DONT LOOK AT ME LIKE THIS! I DESERVE THAT".

My ranking: 16th. Tumbleweed I personally like this plant but it's relatively weak the Torchwood combo doesn't do much and the blover combo is good but this plant is an eh but not that bad but it's just not as good as the plants above 15th.Red Stinger It's basically a worst repeater with less damage and can be defensive when planted more to the right but more to the left it's a damage dealing worst repeater(to be the most powerful form it has it needs to be at the tile in front of the lawn mowers) 14th. Pea shooter It isn't necessarily bad but outclassed which made it so low the damage isn't exactly that good and is outclassed by any other pea shooting plant 13th. Split pea It's a pea shooter but with a repeater on its back it's useful against perspectors, jesters and excavator zombies... But that's it 12th. Bowling Bulb The damage isn't the best but it's good/decent as it also bounces which is good it's a better version of tumbleweed I have to go somewhere so the rest won't have an explanation 11th.Dandelion 10th. Pps 9th. Starfuit 8th.Threepeater 7th. Rotobaga 6th. Repeater 5th. Torchwood 4th. Appease mint 3rd. Pea pod 2nd. Pea vine 1st. Mgp

My top 5 (Not including the mint.) 5. I honestly can't decide what to put here so it could be either 3-pea, red stinger or primal pea. 4. Call me crazy but I replaced my reinforce plant with torchwood due to it's additional features since the first game. (Edit: replaced it with infi nut 💀.) 3. The Gatling guy's obvious major selling point is it's ability to shoot 5 at once and randomly plant food himself, literally nothing else to say. 2. Rotobaga is underrated and goated as hell, better than star fruit as it can shoot 3 projectiles at once in one direction and can shoot like that in 3 other directions, absolute killing machine if you can get at least 2 rows/columns of them. 1. Pea vine, obviously number one, no need for explanation.

My list: 16. Pea Pod- Only useful in conveyer belt levels 15. Split Pea- Bad outside of Wild West and Jurrasic Marsh. 14. Tumbleweed- Only good in higher level 13. Peashooter- Worst than Cabbage-pult 12. Threepeater- Too expensive 11. Repeater- Red Stinger is 3x better as red stinger is 50 sun cheaper than repeater and deals 30 DPS per shot. 10. Torchwood-Fire Pea is more sufficient to use as it takes only 1 tile rather than Peashooter and torchwood( with the exception of pea Vine) 9. Primal Peashooter- Is good in arena mode especially with blover 8. Dandelion- Good PF and attacks three lanes but is 25 sun more expensive than threepeater but deals good damage 7. Starfruit- good in arena and speedruns 6. Appease Mint- Good 5. Mega Gatling Pea- Being too OP for the game makes him in this place. 4. Red Stinger- Great Damage, But gets defensive far from home and cheap sun cost 3. Rotobaga- Good in most of the worlds( BWB, Jurrasic Marsh, etc.) 2. Pea Vine- Great boosting plant especially paired with Primal Pea or Bowling bulb 1. Bowling Bulb- the best plant in appease Mint family plants good DPS, but has a cool down but great PF This is only my Opinion

My list( Only plants I have) 9- Peashooter: Just bad. Outclassed by literally the first plant you unlock in ancient Egypt. Bloomerang 8-ThreePeater: Worse than just three peashooter's. I cannot think of a single reason why you would ever use this plant. 7-Split pea: Better than peashooter and treepeater, but still not great. Except in the only pea plants challenge koalaOM did. 6-Pea pod: ThreePeater but if it was done good. Still doesn't really change the fact that it's kinda overpriced. Like 4 heads is the same cost as a winter melon. 5-Repeater: HOT TAKE: repeater is slightly overrated. Just use red stinger if you unlocked it. 4-Rotobaga: from the few time's I have used it, it was pretty good. Don't really use it much 3- Red stinger: Heavily underrated plant because of the red headed idiot. (Sorry not sorry RedHead Gaming) 2- Primal peashooter: This and Torchwood is a pretty good combo. My ranking list: Appease-mint family plant (This is the largest family plant in the game) 16. Peashooter -Just a simple basic plant, sadly outclassed by many 15. Split pea -An odd plant, also outclassed by many 14. Red stinger -Kinda hard to decide if he should be the lowest because of his odd ability -Can't synergize with torchwood -Good for starting a level, can be replaced later with better options 13. Rotobaga -Starfruit have a better range but she can be planted on water -From this point, it is hard for me to rank her, primal peashooter and repeater to be in this spot 12. Threepeater -Have a wider range than an average peashooter -Better alternatives like the cheaper repeater -Good choice for a "don't have more than x plant" level 11. Repeater -Very good choice for offensive play(especially the combo with torchwood) -He's just a better red stinger, can also be replaced with stronger plants for late game 10. Pea pod -A better and stackable peashooter -Can be used from the start until the end -Very good choice to use with torchwood 9. Dandelion -Idk if this plant is a better threepeater since both attacks multiple lanes -Threepeater can attack multuple lanes at the same time, contrary to him -Still a good choice for dealing with jester zombies -Can't synergize with torchwood but blover/hurricale can help 8. Primal peashooter -Very good at stalling, synergizes well with lots of plants -Jurassic bully and rockpuncher shouldn't be a big problem since he can stun them 7. Tumbleweed -First instant use plant in this family(excluding appease-mint) -Kinda similar with primal peashooter, except he can affect Jurassic bully and rockpuncher -Kinda similar with rhubarbarian 6. Torchwood -A support plant that synergizes well with a lot of plants -Tbh, this plant is a mixed bag of a bunch of other plants 5. Bowling bulb -He would be higher if jester zombie didn'y exist -Would be better if he's affected by torchwood -A good combo for primal peashooter. +Since his bulbs bounces from zombies to zombies, primal peashooter can help to delay them -Plant food effect is op 4. Starfruit -A rapid attacker is always useful -Outclasses split pea -Wider range and faster attack than rotobaga -Also good with lots of plants 3. Appease-mint -His family plants is op, especially combined with him, torchwood and pea vine -Have an ungodly combo with mega gatling pea, outclassing reinforce-mint+peanut strategy 2. Pea vine -An op supportive and offensive plant -Is made for torchwood(fanfic writers, don't do what I think y'all doing) -Kinda like a permanent appease-mint -Very good with other appease-mint family plant that don't synergize with torchwood 1. Mega gatling pea -This plant is WAY TOO OP -Imagine combining the plant with torchwood infront of him, pea vine on top of him and the torchwoods and a boost from appease mint

Appease mint family doesnt have much materials to make content with. Tumblewwed is cheap, fast recharge, cannot be deflected / blocked, combo with torchwood & u can spam him.

But hey at least the Jester won't deflect at the back) 13.Threepeater (Shoots three lanes but only one pea) 12.Primal Peashooter (Just a peashooter but slow firing rate. At least he has a chance to stun or knockback) 11. Red Stinger (He is good but has to be unlocked at Lost City) 10. Pea Pod (Pea Pod needs a lot of sun to make a full Pea Pod which is a waste of them if they all die/got eaten) 9. Appease-Mint (Despite making his family so OP, his damage is kinda bad. I know it shoots 5 big peas (if I can remember) and shoots small pea in every direction but it doesn't deal much. Also Jesters and Excavator Zombie are immune to big peas) 8. Rotobaga (At least it's free and can shoot 4 bullets) 7. Starfruit( A really good and balanced plant but it's a seed packet which is hard. Wish it is Gemium so I can rank it higher. But still good and balanced ) 6. Repeater (Better than RedStinger and Split Pea because you can easily obtain from Ancient Egypt aka the first world in this game 5. Torchwood (From an OK plant to one of the best! They gave him 2 buffs that make him really good. Also combo him when boosted with Pea Vine and Appease-Mint makes it the one of the deadliest combos) 4. Dandelion (Ok a bit biased there but he (not a she) is really good when spammed. Combo with it Blover and he can leave multiple seeds but will make him go bald for a few seconds) 3. Bowling Bulb (Underrated plant. Bouncing is so good and the plant food does a good 3x3 damage) 2. Mega Gattling Pea (New plant that can plant food itself with a random chance. Makes Pea Pod obselete) 1. Pea Vine (Extremely OP combining with Mega Gattling Pea and Powered Torchwood and Appease-Mint)
