Pirate Seas was done dirty. The world gimmick feels so distinct from every other world, as there are two different types of lanes that can appear anywhere on the lawn. From this can come many creative strategies, using spring bean to knock back zombies, using multilane attackers to hit lanes without planks, using chard guard or hurrikale to knock back zombies on lanes without planks, using sweet potato and several primal peashooters on lanes without planks, and more.

But I can see where are they going. Pirate Seas, while very good designed by its own, its sadly mostly eclipsed by other worlds. Mostly because almost all the zombies gimmicks (minus cannon imp zombie) are used later in one way or another. And the planks, while is a good concept mostly very good used in mods (specially ironically in mods like Eclise and Requiem!) In Vanilla is very underwelming for It level design and zombies. "Just use laser bean/Bloomerang Bro"

True. Pirate Seas and also Frostbite Caves are lackluster Pirate Seas is boring and Frostbite Caves's whole gimmick is useless once you get enough fire plants. There should've been something like them melting the ice below them and fall to their death, so you don't just have a permanent answer to ice winds

My problem with Ancient Egypt is that I have played it way too much. Every time I start up a game of PvZ2 either on the current game, the older versions, the mods, you name it, Ancient Egypt is one of the worlds I play first, and it can get dull. Like, it's a very well-designed world where they give you the right plants that counter the right zombies, and the plants are all fairly useful even later in the game. The world gets gimmick further developed in Dark Ages, which makes me really appreciate the world for being a good tutorial.

Bingo, same reason I hate the first few playgrounds in Toontown, AMAZING game, but also an extremely long one, so whenever I restart it feels so depressing to climb back up the tower at least to where I left off (Usually The Brrrgh or Donald's Dreamland Part 1) And then by the time I get there, and I'm ready to finally sit down and beat the game, I get bored, drop it for a few years, come back, and say "Well I might as well start a new character" It's an endless loop of torture where the only content you have really consumed is the beginning and middle.

For me, the disappointed part for me is that not a lot of people mentioned the ost of Lost City. It's actually my favorite ost from all worlds. Because the vibe is like an Indiana Jones movie, or just a movie in general which i really really REALLY LIKE.

I'm honestly surprised Pirate Seas beat Anicent Egypt. They both have an issue with being too easy, but IMO PS is worse in that regard due to how much AOE counters the gimmick and the fact that there's like no high HP specials (The closest I think is Imp Cannon). Every time I hear somebody talk about the worst world in the game, I almost NEVER hear someone mention AE: It's always either PS, Big Wave Beach, or Frostbite Caves (Plus sometimes Dark Ages). Modern Day in the Top 3 is another surprise. I always thought the consesus on it was that it was mid-tier at best: Good idea with poor execution that gets hard-carried by fanservice and falls off in the 2nd half.

A lot of mods have used each world’s potential and aesthetic to their advantage. I LOVE AltVerZ’s BWB and RFL’s LC expansion is really well-made. My personal favorite is Modern Day due to the general gimmick and the wacky stuff RFL does with it (ESPECIALLY the way better Highway to the Danger Room), and I loathe Vanilla Jurassic Marsh. But mods like Eclise Beta 1.9 (NOT ALPHA) made it a bit less painful. Here’s hoping AltVerZ does something cool with it!

Lost city this low? Lost city is amazing in my opinion. It teaches you that you need to be flexible with your strategies, and every single plant that’s introduced is great. They also make it so plants stop directly countering gimmicks making the zombie useless. Red stinger couldn’t shoot excavator but has a backup plan against excavator, same for AKEE. I’m pretty sure endurian also works against the parachute zombies. Stallia was also great to introduce because of bug zombies, which doesn’t stop the zombie from being useful, but against the world teaches you that you need to learn to be flexible with plant selection. Anyways, the OST is the best (imo) and the zomboss fight was very fun. Should not be 7th

Im a bit surprised how Jurassic Marsh and Modern Day got so far. No offense, their aesthethic are very cool and nice, I always felt them as the worst , mainly design and zombie variety wise?. But well, im utterly satisfied how my top actually were more in the top. Far Future and NMT were the goat for me.

Modern Day has the most zombie diversity of any mode and Jurassic Marsh's lack of zombie diversity is forgivable since the world still plays very differently from other worlds.

@@melvint-p9500 I wouldn't call "introduce 4 zombies, (half being a reskin of others) while using other world zombies" zombie variety, honestly. And I get the Dinosaurs, but I felt them very unispired movement wise. "Push Zombies further" is not something I can see as enough. Its like a world Who zombies introduced were Barrel Zombie, Shield Zombie, Jester Zombie and Shovel Zombie, you know? MD is a bit better as while having a very poor level design , the worst in fact (surprised that not even having all PvZ2 zombies they could do something) It introduced shadow plants, which is an interesting concept.

I feel like Jurassic Marsh, yes, it sucks. That world is so lazy. But modern day is a spot-on concept tho. Having all the gimmicks of other world + portals, and the music is a remix of the OG PVZ's soundtrack using other worlds' instrumentals. The thing is they executed it so poorly tho. There were so few levels using portals, they failed to capture all the gimmicks (night levels, planks, the freezing wind, water,..). It is a poor finale, but it's still revolutionary and gripping tho. Plus modern day was the last "passable" thing until they released arena mod and leveling system, thinking how they treat the last world is just kind of sad and disappointing...

Is a shame. And a lack of a final boss fight in arguably the most important world to have one is also something very weird and dissapointing.I was probably made as way for Popcap to tell us "hold on, that now we add more!" and then leveling came up my god haha.

Some tips for the voice is to make it louder than the music. The music was too loud which made your voice a bit hard to hear. I'd also suggest to speed it up if you're a slow talker. Other than that, that's what tips I can give you

Voice reveal! Although I personally preferred the music + subtitles approach, rather than voice-over - at least for the overanalysis series. But you do what you think is best; I'll watch it either way! EDIT: to be clear, this is not a criticism of your voice. Your voice is great, I just prefer the music with text. As for my opinions on the worlds (The only versions I play are Reflourished on bluestacks and 5.6.1 on my phone, so I'll try to mention that whenever relevant): MD is the world I dread to play the most. I hate the portals because they can just straight-up summon zombies that were never shown on the zombie screen at the start, so you can't actually prepare for the incoming zombies the way you're supposed to be able to. I honestly don't know what to say about Shadow Plants. AE, PS, WW and FF have a painful abundance of samey Mold Colony and plant limit levels that make them boring to play. The mold colonies are always at the very back and the limit is always 10-15 plants. Not-OK Corral is my single favorite minigame, with Mummy Memory (which both versions I play have) as a close second. Reflourished's expansion levels add a LOT to these worlds! For some reason, vanilla Snapdragon produces heat in FC??? I'm glad it doesn't do that in Reflourished, although that's not really a critique of the world itself. As for FC itself, the combination of ice wind and ice floes is sometimes cool, although sometimes it feels like the potential of Ice Floes as a mechanic is lessened by having to warm your plants as well - Electric Currant struggles where I wish it could shine. BWB is a mixed bag. Fisherman basically requires you to bring along Infi-nut any time it appears, or suffer the consequences. Octo is a nice challenge in my opinion; it's not too dificult, but it can get the better of you if you're not prepared. JM's dinos basically act as a stand-in for the lack of special zombies. The flow of the levels stops you from simply building the same symmetrical defense in a way that's fun and interesting... sort of. In Reflourished, buffs to Garlic, Aloe, and Perfume-Shroom trivialize most of the vanilla JM levels by letting you spam sun producers in the top, bottom, and middle lanes, and something like Ultomato or Citron in the remaining two lanes. Do I hate it? Absolutely not! Garlic ftw! NMT is really cool - I don't really have much negative to say, except maybe that some plants are underwhelming. It has probably the most unique plant roster of any world in the game. Lost City has Shovel zombies which are tough, and AKEE, the single most "doing-it's-job-and-doing-it-right" plant in the entire game. DA... Lazer Bean and Magnet Shroom fans rejoice! Lazer Bean completely trivializes Wizards, Jesters and, with the help of Magnet Shroom, King Zombies. Difficult? What's a "difficult"? (I'm kidding, but the zombies of this world are shockingly easy to deal with).

@@GNVS300 explain I don't understand I'm a firm user of spore shroom and celery stalker I also feel garlic is more useful than sweet potato but not hot date not to mention that it's free to get compared to those two though only four bites to destroy it hurts. spore shroom is underrated because of the low damage which is a legitimate issue except that people over look the effect that its mechanic counters that. spore shroom works where if it deals the last hit on a zombie it will produce a free duplicate of itself in that space assuming it can be placed there. that on its own doesn't sound like much but side effects of that is A the damage of your spore shroom doubles for that lane B against any zombies that can eat you have a free stall plant C spore shroom is good at close range having them closer to zombies is better for damage anyway. vs stunion is just slightly more expensive iceberg lettuce which is not much of an achievement iceberg lettuce is practically useless as it is and I feel stunion would have gotten the stalia treatment if iceberg lettuce didn't exist first also iceberg lettuce has 1 advantage in the plantfood effect being really good even though it's just weaker pvz1 ice shroom. even though stunion is better than iceberg lettuce the only difference is it covers all zombies in two tiles ahead of it so more range in exchange for a higher cost so I feel if nothing else it's equivalent to iceberg lettuce except in its own world frost bite caves since zombies are immune to freeze. I use iceberg lettuce more just cause of the spam potential and ease on sun economy. but it's not a bad plant at all. and red stinger I just hate perhaps I just don't understand but to me it seems like a bad plant I've never been able to justify the cost is the main reason I don't like it cause the plant forces where you play it to get the most effective ness at best it's 50 sun cheaper repeater and at worst 100 more sun 1/3rd effectiveness of a wall nut I don't get what makes the plant good or if it has a niche what it is.

i might be 11 months late but the world where the plants were introduced overwhelmed them because of how chaotic the zombies are in NMT

​@@SepticalZ1 Fair point I can't say NMT has great plants but I felt lost city and frostbite were worse. NMT has intensive carrot easily be it's worst plant often because it's not worth the limited slots. It does have uses if you're invested in recovering high cost plants. I feel garlic being the only aventure plant that does croud control is worth something greater than useless even though very overshadowed by power creep. I think NMT's best plant spore shoorm is more valuable than the best of LC or FBC. Plus thyme being availibe in every world is welcome. I feel lost city is worse because it's best plant is stallia which is very useful but most of the other plants of the world are over all worse. except gold leafwhich is sadly exclusive. Endurian is ok but probably not your first pick for wall plants. Akee and red stinger I feel are trash. Frostbite caves I feel is worse because of similar issues its best plant is very highly ranked but the rest is mid or worse. Pepper pult is less that useless. stunion is just slightly altered iceberg lettuce but ice berg being free far out weighs it. Hot potato and rotobaga have niche but helpful uses so mid both being suprisingly useful in big wave. Over all I feel NMT over has more useful plants though more of it's plants are niche and less big hitters but this is just my opinion.

In my opinion the international version of pvz should have added the features from pvz online to pirate seas because it the pole / plank mechanic is actually not a bad idea and can add as a threat due to any zombie being able to walk across on it without being damaged

Jurassic Marsh was too high. There was only one new zombie type, and it was very lame. That, and lots of the plants are unbalanced. I think I also believe that the main gimmick of dinos was pretty easy to counter once you understood how the ideal strategy was that the zombies shouldn't leave the right most lanes and be blocked with wall nuts... or use garlic or perfume shroom. I do like how garlic has a niche use here.
