My ex who is a wonderful woman and has so much to offer a guy-I still say she has many traits I want in a wife-it came down to some different traits. So even with having shared values, goals and ideas for the future it just didn't work. It was hard for both of us when we decided to break up-we came to the decision separately but were doing it on the same night. When we parted ways she felt the same as I did above, having traits she wanted in a husband and still wants yet the others traits clashed too much. I'm like Zach never been a long term committed relationship, sometimes i feel I have missed out other times I m glad. It's hard though desiring to get married and have a family, everyone around me is and I'm just sitting here alone.

i feel like the thing about opposites is that they have way more stuff to discuss or talk about when they meet each other. theres the curiosity like "why would you think that" and "whats their opinion on this?". when youre with someone that has the exactly same mindset as you, it may be more simple and you may feel like youve known them for years, but you also feel like you instantly know their opinions and whatd they think. i guess its different for everyone. some people like to match with someone and have the feeling of security that they feel the same way about things you love. some people like to be with an opposite, whether its for the challenge, or because they may seem "different" or "cool" or just very desirable and not "boring".

I think the percentage feature works if you're honest. But in my experience on OkCupid, most people don't bother answering many or any of the personality questions. Not men anyway. I met my girlfriend on there and we wandered most of our questions similarly and had a high match percentage.
