I have not seen ANY negative comments about the Titan. I have watched so many videos. I’m a huge Toyota guy but my dad loves the Titan he has. My brother has an armada and my buddy does too and they love them.

I love my sequoia 5.7L. 15 years old. No issues ever. 206k miles. Had a 2008 Camry v6. No issues until someone ran a light and killed it. My 2022 sienna XLE AWD and 2022 rav4 have been perfect as well…but I don’t like the RAV4 because it’s small for me at 6 foot 1”. It’s my wife’s. I love the tundra (except the 2022). But it has poor crash ratings and 14-17 mpg like my sequoia 15-17 I get. The Titan is less expensive and gets 17-22 I think. (Gas). Hard to turn that down. Cheers!

Don’t second guess your decision, Titan XD is a bad ass beast. I’ve got the same 2017 Titan Pro4x with V8 Endurance, tows my 10,000lb travel trailer with ease.

Just because your truck can make the trailer's tires roll, doesn't mean it is safe to do so. You should be under 8000lbs (loaded) when towing a trailer. Be safe out there.

@@Sig721Tau Have you actually driven a Titan XD? Pulling 10K is well within range for this class of truck. If anything, Nissan was conservative with its ratings.

@@redtitan29 Yes, I test drive the Titan V8 (non-XD) model. However, Nissan states that you should be under 9300#s when towing with a Cummins equipped Titan.

@@Sig721Tau That is not correct. The Cummins Titan has the highest tow ratings of any Titan model which is rated to pull well over 12,000 lbs depending on the trim level. The 9300 lbs is for the standard titan.

Must say I love my Pro 4x titan as well. Out of all the trucks I have owned (probably 7 or 8) its in the top 3 for sure.

I love mine even more now since getting the parking pawl recall done yesterday along with the transmission software update, took it on the highway when I picked it up and brother, let me tell you how much fun it was 😂🤣..... until I seen a state trooper 😆 but thankfully he wasn't even bothered by it. Saved by the Titan 🤠

Toyota Rav4 2013-2015 transmission problems have become an lurking issue. Car complaints shows a lot of reports for transmission problems at 20-50k miles for 2013 and 2014 model years. It sounds like Toyota still had not fully rooted out the issue in 2015. I suspect that more reports will hit consumer web sites as the 2015 unit owners rack up more miles.

Nope, the 2015 Rav4 has a 6 speed shiftable auto. The Hybrid version gets an eCVT. BTW, some CVT applications do have a torque converter. "The Nissan Murano RE0F09A, Saturn VUE VT25E, Ford Five Hundred CFT30 and Dodge Caliber CVT2 CVTs are just a few examples of this combination of a CVT and a torque converter." MOTOR Magazine, June 2007

For anyone looking for an affordable Roof Top Tent (RTT) with similar features to Tepui, look at the SmittyBilt Overlander tent for half - yes, HALF - the price of a similar model with Tepui. The material used is similar grade / quality. The features are identical. Nothing in the Tepui to justify the price. Agree with your guess, Yakima RTT is thinner material and has significant issues with leaks at the seam (do your research!)

I traded my 2004 toyota tundra for a 2018 nissan titan! With 42miles At first I regretted my decision! But for $30,000 for all the bells and whistles I couldnt pass it up! I was Lookin 2018 Toyota tundra sr5 with 48,000 miles it wouldve have been $52,000 out the door! 😳😳😳

@@MegaScorpio43 the only issue i had was with the timing belt! It was rubbing but nissan replace it for free! Under the warranty! And the boot on the cv axle was rip! But they replaced it for free too! I had the truck for 2yrs now and i love it! It pulls good when im towing my towhauler

Nice setup for the Titan, overlanding isn’t for me, I get it, taking off & getting away just for the weekend with no permanent destination only a different spot on the map each day is cool. Taking in new scenery or vistas.... way cool. Reliability comes down to manufacturers standing by warranty work.

All the CVT Nissan cars use the Jatco trannys (which most CVT's are complete junk anyway especially Jatco built transmissions) and the Titans use the Aisin transmissions (a transmission company partially owned by Toyota they are well built, good quality) They're like apples to oranges. It's like the difference between ford cars and ford trucks, there's no comparison they are in different leagues.

I live in Houston Texas so most of my driving is city and I average every tank refill about 17 to 18 miles per gallon mixed in my 2016 XD Cummins Platinum Reserve and on the highway it averages about 21 miles per gallon. It has been a great truck so far so don't let all the naysayers tell you different.

Ram is the most unreliable new gen truck on the market. Our company had a 68rfe 2017 and the transmission had the typical shift flare and never could be fixed. Dealership took it back we got the Aisin and the transmission seals were leaking after 5k miles. Got it back then the transmission seals and diff were leaking at 22k miles. Traded the fleet in for 2017 Fords, so far better fuel and towing economy.
