I don't understand why reviews of any product outside the big 3 of Ford, GM, Ram are so convoluted. I like watching your videos, but I cannot but sometimes feel that there is an underlying tone to always lean toward the big 3 and while other brands seem to have the good, ...BUT... always included. For example, this review presented an opportunity to provide real world feedback that real truck owners want to know. Your review should have focused on this opportunity instead of wasting so many minutes on non-relevant non-sense included in most of the first 2/3rds of the video. Categories like: fuel economy: you read the gauge at 12.x on the display. Everyone knows these displays present a calculated average for the session and do not real world mixed highway/city mpg unless constantly refreshed after each driving session. Anyone that uses these trucks know the real average is 16-18 mpg, in the 1/2 ton truck class. Nissan truck owners also know from experience that Nissan trucks typically score on the lower end of the mpg average range when compared to other truck brands, and has been so constant in previous generations of Titans and is so for the Frontiers in the mid-size as well. reliability: It was not until the last 1/3rd of the video did you speak about what matters, how the truck performed well over the 6 month time frame with no issues, mechanical or otherwise, no check engine lights, etc... Nathan stated "user experience was good when used on vacation by wife and family, ... hey this matters when our passengers have no complaints! Each of you spoke positively, yet in the end such a mediocre recommendation, I cannot recommend to buy it? What? Its like going to a restaurant, cleaning off your plate in 30 seconds, and the waiter asks how was it, and you say... "the steak could have been bigger, the veggies needed more butter, ...." just say it was good! This is important when multiple people are using the truck and no one can point to a real complaint or problem to report. focusing on a lack of engine choices, when the engine that is offered is for all intent and purposes established over several years of service and known to be a solid performer is silly. Evaluate what you have in front of you, a simple statement that it is the only engine available is enough.Why waste time about a lack of engine choices because Ford or GM or RAM offer choices. Everyone knows that multiple choices/configurations is an American Automotive thing and that most other brands do not follow this model. Focusing on a lack of 8" or 10" display, only one engine choice or how it looks like a 2014 Ford....really guys? You are better than this. Here are the facts, all truck mfgs discount their trucks so suggested mfg pricing means nothing. All truck mfgs over state the towing capability to an unrealistic number and even in this video I believe I heard Nathan state that he would not tow 11k in the Rebel even though it is rated for it. That's right Nathan. You know it is not safe. So when Nissan says the Titan is rated for just under 9300#, this is more realistic and honest. In the end as your drive was finishing you were saying positive things, nothing negative, yet you then conclude "it is not a buy" and revert back to the earlier comments unrelated to the overall performance and experience of using the truck. As a truck owner & purchaser since 1983, I appreciate real word first hand experience of other people. From your review, your ownership experience was good, but your professional commentary and conclusion is less than .... I really do not want to say out of respect. When paying more than 50K for trucks, it seems reliability is #1 to me. Bells and whistles, sun roofs, 10" screens and 10 speed tranny? Will these new 10 speeds hold up? I know the 5 and 6 speeds work well. I am a truck guy. I own a Chevy 4500 chassis cab and a Nissan Titan XD cummins today. I have owned F250 before. I have owned Frontiers before. My friends own Chevy HDs, RAMs, I have driven F350 7.3s for work. I am familiar with the product. Most of these new trucks have more things in common that anytime in the past. I know two things today: 1-My Chevy and its Vortec 6.0 get the job done! 2-My Titan XD Cummins and do everything Nissan says it is rated for and then some. When towing 9K or 10K trailers, I have to keep reminding myself the trailer is back there. And it is soooooo comfortable for my 58 year old fat **s. This is what every towing experience should be like. In conclusion: Just report on the product you have in front of you. Not what you think it should be compared to what others are doing. We can decide for ourselves from there. Thanks for the videos.

I hate the Nissan stealerships and what they call customer service. @@scottvickery2057 I never had any issues with the rear axle. I did not tow anything so I was pretty easy on it. Build the WARRIOR! Love my Titan XD, it’s big and bulky, tows with no issue, best warranty in class, super comfortable seats and ride,awesome dependability. Couple things that Nissan needs to improve on, add the sunroof, update the info centre( bigger screen) need more USB ports ( cut back on 12v ports) Overall I wouldn’t trade my Titan XD for any other truck and would 100% buy a warrior if they decide to build it.

Maddog8148 idk man, my wife’s 2012 Altima just got towed into the shop over the weekend because the CVT transmission is failing. It only has a little over 60k miles, whereas my 06 F150 has 250k with very little issues.

My sister in law sold her F-150 with 280k miles on it to buy a Titan, both have been good trucks for getting her horse and gear around. And she doesn't take particularly good care of vehicles, but brand loyalty is not all there is to buying a truck.
@Curlybrosfitness1235 жыл бұрын
Buknoy Harabas LoL did I hurt your feelings? Look man, do your research and you’ll find that there’s a ton of people who have issues with the CVT in the newer Altimas. I don’t need to justify anything to a 14 year old who doesn’t know shit about the real world. Your “stupid” buddy’s First gen (1990’s) Altima does NOT have a CVT. It has an old school automatic. So do some research before talking out of your ass.

Quite possibly, this is the best truck that you are never going to purchase. I have seriously considered the Titan when they were released in 2003, again in 2009 and then in 2018. Each time, this truck had some of the best features, but dealing with the local Nissan dealers can be more frustrating than talking to a Jeep dealer when they see mud on the undercarriage of a Wrangler during a warranty repair of a blown lightbulb. I love this truck and all the feature were right for my life, but the manufacturers ways of business just do not match up with the lifestyle of most truck purchasers.

I bought a 2004 Titan in Feb 2004. I have 150K on it. I had the original brakes rebuilt @ 135k, no problems on brakes until they got too thin. I did have the typical manifold cracks@ about 80k. The truck drives well and is very comfortable. What I like best has been the service departments of the half dozen dealerships that have their hands on it. They have all been great both in fixing problems and in treating me with respect. If I'm doing a new vehicle and Nissan has something that fits my needs, I'd give them a 1st crack at a sales.

Who actually uses a sunroof 8n a truck anyway?
@406Steven5 жыл бұрын
Newer trucks are more like a Man Sedan, not a utility vehicle. People are convinced that they need a truck when they never use even a fraction of its abilities--a Honda Accord would be a much better choice for most truck buyers and costs half as much! I care more about interior materials that are going to last rather than soft-touch materials (how do you even need that in a truck?) and more about reliability than fuel economy or how many gears the transmission has.

Nissan’s heated steering wheel button never has been on the wheel it’s usually below the head light controls on the left hand side, The touch screen needs to be larger yes Sunroof I’ve never used mine on my Acura TL don’t need one One engine option, these don’t sell as much as an F150, or Silverado so it would be easier to find the truck you want I think it could use blind spot And those who think it looks like an F150, the headlights look more like a RAM’s and the grill is generic and could look like a lot of things

All I can say is my brother in law got a Ram 1500 his son got a ford ecoboost and the other got the chevy Silverado I as you all know sold my Ridgeline 07 with 155,000 for a Toyota Tundra 4x4 SR5 Crewmax. I can say at this point I'm having no problems but the Ram is having water pump problems and the ford is having turbo problems. The Chevy is having transmission issues. I agree that all the trucks but mine get great gas mileage and do have a few more bells or whistles but at the end of the day when I'm on the road towing my camper the bells and whistles isn't what I'm looking for. I need the engine and trans to get me from point A to point B safely and no headaches. I always say if it ain't broke don't fix it but we do have people that have to have the biggest the newest with the most bells and whistles out there but with this comes more problems.

mine has been in the shop for the AC 3 times. New drivers seat. Head gasket, turbo..and a few other things i cannot remember right now. The fuel filters are expensive. The oil changes are expensive. The fuel mileage is about 13 ( i have a leveling kit with 33" tires.) My 2017 super duty has no problems. 17 mpg (4" lift with 37s) power between the two obviously isn't even comparable. The cummins is lethargic coming off lights compared to the powerstroke. Cab layout isnt even in the same world as the super duty. 10k difference price. thats why Titan XD cummins is going away...My opinion

Our family has had many Nissans and virtually no problems. Maybe my only complaint is that tires and brakes don't last as long as I'd expect (both maybe 35k miles). I was hot to get a Titan XD when they came out and a test drive soured me on that instantly. I've been thinking about what my next truck would be. Maybe this is the one. I bought a Powerstroke F-250 after looking at the XD. It's awesome and cheaper than the XD. I'm not sure I'll need a diesel next time around.
