What a beautiful airplane! When my husband, from England, first told me about the Harrier, it sounded like Science Fiction. I'm so glad you rescued her. One day I hope to see her at an airshow. Have you given her a name? I hope so. My brother-in-law was a pilot over Romania in World War II Flying a B-29 and destroying dams and coal mines. After the War he taught flying. His name was Captain Donald Brant. Don would have loved it!

This year at RIAT the Spanish brought two Harriers and they were absolutely incredible. They were by far my favourite display at the whole airshow. They're also a lot louder than you'd expect, probably on par with an F-16, if not louder.

This is a Sea Harrier, faster and more maneuverable than the American ground support AV8-B Harrier. From what I know it comes without fancy hover electronics found in the AV8-B. It thus demands more of the pilot. Loved to see it! Please keep it flying.

Art your a true Gent, with fire and soul in every vain of your body and the whole team you have assembled is fantastic, it's nice to see you give a small opportunity to a youngster and bringing on other pilot's is, as you say, important because in truth, you are all just the custodian of a beautiful aircraft , it's important to keep these birds going so others can appreciate the engineering. Look how few Spitfires are left in the world because nobody took notice... but you did.... I am so pleased the opportunity and determination came to you, there is no one more appropriate. I look forward to watching the rest of this series putting down the history of time for another generation in 100 years from now... well done sir...

.........ain't never been a pilot of any kind but brought tears to my eyes at the hover for some reason. I'm 64, 65 if make it to end of May 2019. Been inserted by military from many countries by both choppers and planes and many times in hostile areas you never hear about. Volunteered during last draft in '71 or '72 to fly helios in Vietnam but every branch told me the same thing, "sorry son, you wear glasses". I had a Merit Scholarship and had even won a military scholarship so told em I didn't want to work on em so went on to college. Shuda, cuda, wusa. Who knows. Wound up in LE then military contractor. BA Pilot livin my dream even if it is fixed wing. Guess that why the hover got to me. Iv kinda filled my need for speed with fast cars and bikes, been over 180 in Corvette, but ain't the same. Some pilots have let me semi fly over the years but that don't really count. Glad these folks could save the Harrier. Iv survived a lot of things, cancer x 3, shattered pelvis and 20 other breaks and just had surgery #30, spinal fusion. Still in shape for few more missions hopefully but got bad feeling. But how many of us have the life we thot we would? I'm not complaining, didn't deserve the miracles iv had, but when you get this age with my medical history you can't even work for free. Been personal protection for many diplomats, musicians and actors but they seldom remember the hired help. Well, Hank Jr might. He dont 4get hardly anybody, but all my connections are gone. Il die like iv lived, in the shadows. No military fly over, no star at.......it don't matter. Wasn't why I signed up. Be a good movie or book tho. Keep em flying. Pray for our country. L8r.
