I didn't do Little League (only did T-ball for a year in kindergarten) so I did mainly ballet and musical theatre as a kid, but the same parents apply to dance/performing arts in general: High Pressure Dad would be the Stage Mom yelling the choreography or mouthing the lyrics from the waiting area/backstage. There's always a Bragger in there too-"my kid is taking all honors classes and won YAGP three times, and there's Broadway agents so please be on your best behavior" etc I had a Coach one year for ballet, she was the mom of one of my classmates. She would say kinda similar things to us. Yes, the Snack Mom is always present too :) but we couldn't eat in costume and we couldn't eat in between acts. We could eat after the show was finished. I have never seen a Heckler in all my years of doing performing arts.
@tr_46002 жыл бұрын
Yes these are great! Other parent types i ve seen are the cheerleader who chears for everyone s kid really loud like its their own. The coddler who is overprotective of their kid and thinks they need to be handled delicately to protect their feelings. Lastly the complainer who wants to know why the game is so long, the seats so hard, and why can't they play closer to home at a time that fits their schedule.

These are all true. There is one more. The parent that sits quietly and relaxed. They are the ones that were college athletes or in Olympic programs without ever talking about it. They seem to get that the early years are too soon to figure out who has the drive and talent. The humor was is in the interaction after the loud mouths finally learn about 3/4 into the season, usually after starting an another argument/complaining about a rule.

In the event that I actually show up to watch a game, I am friendly, social and truly enjoying the situation. Once the game is over, I go home to my hermitage and pray that the world blows up so that I don’t ever have to go to another game or parent teacher conference ever again. 😂😂😂 I have a mini van, but it sure as heck isn’t to haul kids around from activity to activity. The mini van is an extra room, on the property, to throw miscellaneous stuff until I have time to sort it. This channel needs to pick up it’s game. I feel extremely unrepresented here. 😂😂😂❤️
