Okay, I was 5+ when Mum brought home my younger brother. All I remember was being obsessed with keeping him safe. The first time she put him on the couch for a nap I ran through the house for every pillow and cushion to lay on the floor "in case the baby rolls off". In those days (mid-'60's) you could park your babies outside on the front porch for a nap and leave him/her, no worries! Not me. I'd sit out there on the porch while Brian slept, watching out for him. I don't ever remember feeling jealous of him, or envious for the time Mum spent with him. I'd had my turn and now it was his. I don't ever remember Mum saying my older brother and sister were jealous of me (they were 4 & 6) years older than me.

Something I didn't notice when watching this the first time, but saw just now. When Juno was born and Theo was having trouble adjusting, the turning point was him placing his favorite car in baby Juno's hand. And there's a clip of him and Juno looking at baby Otto and Theo places a car in the baby's hand again. So cute.

The brothers were always picking on her. Cutting her dolls hair off, dipping them in John Deere Green paint, etc. She would chase them with broom. My brother said she made him into a track star ! Eventually my sister & I came along so she wasn't quite so alone.
