Haven’t played Smite in a while, so many good games have been coming out but seeing Smite 2 and some Fineokay tier lists got me wanting to get back into it. I’m dreading learning all the new items tho 😅

Try a few with the auto build to get a feel for how things work, then experiment. The main difference is the active items, but they are pretty simple overall. It's surprisingly easy if you have smite experience tbh.

A lot of the items are the same now which helps a lot. The mid build from the end of smite 1 is still in smite 2 for example with all the items almost identical (not sure if meta or not though).

I had friends who used to play Smite 1 with me who eventually stopped playing, most of whom havent touched Smite 2 once, message me recently asking if I want to play Smite 2 when its out. It's good to see people actually wanting to play the game because its objectively better than Smite 1 at this point and I believe shows incredible promise based on the past 3 months of development. People have a hard on for hating Hi-Rez when the transparency, consistency, and willingness to listen to the community displayed throughtout the alpha into beta has been phenomenally apparent. As someone who watched all the Titan Talks the passion and drive the devs have to make Smite 2 not only better than Smite 1 but also better than Smite 2 was last patch. It has been a joy to see the rapid patching cadence and open dialogue as such I’m hopeful in regards to the games development now. The main issue the game faces is just expanding the playerbase which hopefully with free to play we see a large influx of players, I hope the game succeeds as I believe it buids upon the Smite 1 formula in new and exciting ways whilst maintaining It's identity which is not always an easy feat for sequels to achieve.

Is there no CDR cap? The Chaac build had like 70% cdr I think. Is that not sort of wasting 30% cdr that could be some other passive/active item?

I am strangely having lots of success with athena solo using warriors axe and lifebender. Exploiting the shield +heal early game and then selling it late when it drops off.

Bumbas on mordred is pretty good now I think. I’ve been getting lvl 2 first bloods with the 100 true dmg from weaving autos. And late game he pretty much has no cooldowns if you’re weaving autos. Screeching gargoyle after ult for lockdown for your teams fallup

Just think what solo laners can be countered with mulans 3. Her clearing potential prolly isn't as good as these top 5s solo laners but she's got good dmging abilities for fighting

@chrisvodicka9406 honestly that makes sense ....the no heal on kill downside isnt bad at all considering thanatos still heals from his 1 , and you get tanky for free while going full dmg , and he gets more burst in his kit with the extra damage on his 3 ......i hope they make more changes like this ....where they buff gods and make them have specialities so they all are viable but broken each in their own way .....or what id like to call the marvel rivals method.

Kept referring to screeching as the best item for defensive characters in the game. I really do like that item but idk how anyone can build defensively and not have talisman of purification. I know on supports at least if you’re not building that you’re dumb. It’s a buyable beads, with decent stats

And it definitely is more or less valuable depending on who you’re playing with but I find it super useful for any team fights so I usually build it earlier on my supports and it tends to be a later item on my solos

bellona needs a buff or something cause i don’t think she’s been anywhere near top tier ever in smite 2 and i love her bru but every other other god does more damage , is tankier and has more viability she’s good on objectives but that’s it bro how come she’s the cover girl but she’s so damn weak and i’m pretty sure not one person played her in tournaments that should show she needs a buff of some sort
