The dude in the room explaining clickbait, subscribe and youtube algorithm definitely increased my tolerance towards clickbait itself. I think those video makes it easier to sense and feel the effort put into it which makes time spent watching video more… valuable i guess? But i guess that could also be more about you having consistent quality content. Overall, I would say it really is “ the last video this guy made was good so this should be as good as the other one i watched” I have been one piece fan from the beginning (manga anime and all) but youtube algorithm only introduced me to you in late 2021 and i have consuming your old and new video ever since. My introduction to your channel is a great example on how there are fans and potential audience out there that really just never came across you yet, they love one piece but they never purposely looked for that content through youtube search so the only way is “algorithm magic” putting your video on my recommendation feed. Keep up your good work so that we can continue clicking so that youtube can continue spreading.

"There's a whole ton of stuff that I've just never touched because I didn't think that anyone would watch it." - Dude in a Room Liam, Chapter 1042 dropped early this week and I'm watching this video instead of reactions because not just your content but your delivery of said content is well-metered and engaging. I'm watching a video about you talking about a video you made two days ago. Yes, make more One Piece videos which are off the beaten path. I didn't watch your Zoro/Sanji Devil Fruit video because I've read and been a part of "discussion" on that topic for about 20 years now. Shipping gets brought up a lot less often, and Oda's nuance towards romance is not lost on an older audience. It was a fun watch.

That video was great! The comedy was on point (almost) perfect. So good that even though I sometimes use your videos as a 'good night' story (your voice and tone makes falling asleep so easy), every time this video was on, my sleep was dissipating into the black abyss of the night because of 'you're the best we ever had, Liam'. But! Even though this video got nr1, I don't think the analysis is complete. Right now, I feel like the story is at a point of a division between boredom and fatigue due to the long time spent on the raid/ rooftop and the never-ending teasing from Oda, with what seems to be little to no progress at all. Also, even if this kind of strategy might work for a few more times, people will soon realise the intention, and the results will get back as they used to be. PS: Congratulations on all the work you're doing! Keep up with new videos (I need more of them for the sleepless nights!)

I'm here for content. You have an interesting way of thinking that reflects in the straightforward way that you present information. A reason I don't follow other OP content creators is because they don't have much to say, they take too long to say it, and/or they are very misleading and/or dramatic in their presentation. It's like a review of an interesting topic versus a bad used car salesman trying to pad out their runtime. I understand there are compromises to make content creation viable long-term, but I hope your quality content doesn't get bogged down in details that are not as important as you think they are.

I want to give you my perspective on the one piece video: i saw the thumbnail, didn’t understand, got intrigued, didn’t understand what title mean, clicked on it, in first two min i did figure clickbait but we did mention clickbait in dude in the room before, there were talks about romance before so the discussion felt relevant, like we are just picking old topics that we put back on the bookshelf. The pacing, humour and quirky editing keep my attention enough to not click on other video suggestions on the right side of the screen. I loved seeing this video too!

I'm going to be honest, the video you're talking about is one of my favourite of yours. Why? BECAUSE you're talking about a subject that is not talked about a lot, and so it brings some fresh air to the community. And I loved how you expressed that fact, that romance is getting gradually more important in One Piece. One of my guesses: probably because we're getting to the end of the series, and Oda has seen many mangaka before him get slammed over their final couples being brought up too abruptly. So he may just as well prepare the field now for the classical "X years later" epilogue. And really, it was amazing in my opinion, so thank you for that leap of faith, and congratulations for having it work out so well

Look, I usually don't comment much. But let me get this straight: To me at least, it doesn't matter what you talk about. Your voice is pleasant to listen to, your narration skills (as in expression) are great and I know that you videos are about One Piece and on top of that I always feel entertained and find high quality and value in your videos. Yes, I hate clickbait, but in your special case I really don't care because I know the value you provide. I see you uploaded a video and I click. That's it. I just hope you don't drift into this one piece theory dump as Ohara did. He had great analysis videos, like his scene analysis series. But he has drifted too far away from what I originally liked about his videos, back when he had less than 50 k subs. Now he's basically just translating content the japanese youtuber Yuderon came up with and calls it a day after throwing in some bad jokes and films himself always grinning like a monkey on dope. It's an approach as lazy as it can get and doesn't even come close to his true value: His analytic skills.
