Tekking is such a fantastic youtuber. This energy is really what keeps me going and makes me actually really happy and while Im sometimes put off by the runtime of videos, I do really want to see them. My girlfriend however calls him the crazy anime guy and I get it. I think KZbin could benefit from more creators that are as much relaxed and upbeat as Tekking is. Loved the interview, Mr Dude In A Room, hope to see more from both of you together!

@50iq In my opinion Liam has a better system for growing to a certain size, and making dependable content, but tekking has a system that has no limit on growth, or longevity, because people watch tekking to see tekking. I’m not saying Liam isn’t entertaining, but tekking could make videos about snails, and people will watch it.

Man, Tekking is the Perfect KZbinr in my eyes. He's the purest distillation of what a KZbinr is. As YouTubing has become more "professional", the minmaxing and revenue chasing has taken a lot of the spirit that made KZbinrs more compelling to watch than mainstream personalities. I'm glad that an OG like Tekking is still thriving in this day and age.

6:50 the reason I really actually enjoy tekking is that I’ve seen where he has grown from. I’m not really a huge fan of the wild an loud intros but I remember being a young teen watching bleach reviews and hearing him talk about his day at dollar tree, but I genuinely love the fact that he has been able to grow a platform that he is genuinely passionate about. More than just loving anime and manga, and truthfully I haven’t watched/read manga in years, the fact that he has grown so much and made a space for himself is really inspiring. I’m now a guy who sits behind a desk and I love what I do, and the fact that Tekking is a guy behind a desk that loves what he does is something that I respect deeply.

The reason I love Tekking is because (and I mean this in the nicest, most sincere way) he nerds out super hard for the things he loves in a way that's so damn genuine and filled with so much energy that you can't help but to get invested in what he's talking about. You can tell that he's speaking in earnest about whatever his topic is. Also, it's the only anime YT channel I can think of where there's a very high chance that you'll learn some albeit random, real world fact that's pretty interesting. Tekking is just a very earnest guy that who clearly loves what he does, and it shows.

@@fahkyew7776 He’s literally the exact opposite of what most people would want when trying to sleep 🤨 He goes from regular volume to insanely loud, back to soft, then suddenly unnecessary loud etc. Even if you were watching without volume … His mannerisms are pretty ungrounded and over enthusiastic with hands and arms moving all over the place, bouncing around in his seat 😂 I don’t mean to sound hypercritical of you or tekking (I genuinely have no bad feelings about him, but it’s weird for him to be a go-to for sleep ) we like what we like, I guess

I can genuinely say that Tekking has always been the youtuber I consistently watch since I found his channel. I wholeheartedly enjoy his rambling even if it's straight up head cannon sometimes. When One Piece drops a new chapter, he is the first person I want to hear from about it. In my eyes, he is the golden child of One Piece youtubers.

I don't know if they are still up, because I remember searching for them some time ago and I couldn't find them, but the videos that made me a fan of Tekking were not his Bleach or OP reviews, it was actually a couple of "story" videos he uploaded to his secondary channel. They were 4 or 5 videos about 20 to 40 min each, of just Matt telling some wacky stories passed as true anecdotes, and by the end, he always said "by the way, I've made that entire story up! bye everyone!". The first time I watched one of those, it left me ultimately flabergasted, I had never seen someone had that much control of my attention, nor that level of crafting an intricate story on the spot. Matt is a special guy indeed!

Tekkings communications major also really helps his videos I feel. Even though he’s so casual there’s something about how he presents things and talks that feels more professional and rounded compared to most anime youtubers. So many get stuck in this weird repetitive way of talking and use the same inflections over and over again that becomes more noticeable. Tekking doesn’t do that so I can listen for hours and not get annoyed.

We don't know what we're getting. The tangents and trivia add to whatever content he's making, and we can't get enough of him.

I don´t watch anime or read manga, but Tekking somehow managed to hit that sweet spot for sleep help. I need to listen to something while trying to sleep, otherwise my mind just can´t stop worrying, planning, or generally wandering off preventing sleep. But i can´t listen to exciting or interesting content either, because then i focus on it too much and can´t sleep either. Tekking keeps me distracted, but not excited - the ideal combination.
