Hi Anton another great vid. You might get the handle to sit lower down by extending the C shaped metal clip, but not so much that when you pull the lever down to its full travel, the top of the clip hits the cistern lid. You are right about the plastic diaphragm, they are very flimsy thats why I always fit two to make it stronger & last longer.

good job 👏💯 . ..i had occasion to do the same job. the new plastic bracket on the handle was a problem. wouldn't flush after i fitted it. it turned out that the "C" clip that came with the new syphon was too short. As a result the plastic wasn't going to the bottom of the syphon & pulling up enough water to activate the syphon system. i discovered that there are 3 different "C" clips lengths. short , medium & long. i bought a packet, with the 3 different sizes for €3.95. I think that you needed the long one for your new bracket & would have worked OK then.......👏

before i fitted the longer "C" clip, i used a length of plastic twine instead. was 2 months before i got back to the job but twine wasn't worn. i was going to make one from a length of wire coat hanger but that would rust & break. the "C" clips are stainless steel...just a tip...

you are more than welcome, i hope that you find that information useful in future. nowadays, if the cistern fills & water cuts off, that's OK. next, i pull the "C" clip by hand with handle unattached. if that flushes, then ok to that point. then i measure the length from the plunger to the handle at normal position, select the correct "C" clip & never any problems. saves me a lot of time.@@aaanton11 👏☘

i forgot one VERY important thing. when changing the "C" clip, make sure that the plunger doesn't drop to the bottom of the syphon. otherwise, you will have to dismantle the toilet again to retrieve it. i put in a length of plastic twine, beside the "C" clip before i remove the clip. string is about 24" or 61 cm to make a big U so no need to tie a knot .the string is also very useful to pull up the plunger to change the clip. ....@@aaanton11 ☘☘☘

All the water not coming out from the toilet only half from the siphon what causes that from a new siphon

One thing I would say is don’t wear a stainless steel watch if u scratch the porcelain with it u will never get rid of it
