Yeah, but you lose to imperm in the draw phase. House can't revive unless you have another Dmaid to target on the field. And this means almost the whole board is outed by one imperm. Unless you're running Albaz(which he isn't) to turn Seals into three disruptions, it's simply not worth it.

Not slight synergy in this case, it was clearly and unambiguously designed to go with Dragonmaid like NT8000 Sirius was made for Orcust. I'm fully expecting the announcement of a lv3 Psychic Tuner that pays LP for an effect that isn't named P.U.N.K. in the coming days

The rulers just aren't needed imo. They're nice but you give up non engine for a bunch of 2 for 1 costs which is bleh imo

In terms of a Dragon Ruler deck, then Tenpai Dragon Ruler would be my reccomendation for its flexibility and how Dora Dora is a 1 card rank 7. While it cant reach a turn 1 cieling as big as Dragonmaid DMs, it has a bunch easier time going 2nd and Blaster banish can search your Dora Dora. both Dragon Ruler xyzs + Seals w/ tenpais backing it up should be enough for you to survive the turn, where you can clean up and otk turn 3. Most notably, Tenpais themselves dont have any bricks to offer... maybe Fadra but you wont have to worry about drawing Hospitality or changeover but no DMs by comparison. In terms of a Dragonmaid Deck; idk, for now I think its preference. Pure w/ a LADD package is much simpler to pilot and allows you to run more handtraps/non engine. However Dragon Rulers do allow the deck more gas at the cost of handtraps. Most notably, Tempest searches Parlor and Blaster can search Kitchen if you run it + adult (I only run Parlor and Chamber though + respective adults, no fire DMs.) ED space do be tight though in the hybrid. Personally, I'll be sticking to Dragon Ruler variants because I apprieciate the extra gas and Im far more comfortable w/ Dragon Rulers than I am the LADD package, but I do think both pure and Dragon Ruler Dragonmaid hybrids are really solid.

Optimal??? I highly recommend you take a look at Tenpai Dragonmaid, it's absolutely Disgusting. And with the New Banlist TCG and MD, the hits to tenpai really don't affect the deck at all. Chundra to one kind of hurts, but It's minimal. You still have 10 Cards that get you Chundra. And MD isn't even hitting Kaimen, which is rediculous. You can still do Tenpai Plays, but their is one difference. If you have a dragon maid and changeover, you make Bident in the main phase, if you don't, then you just do regular Tenpai combo. You male bident in the main phase, because you use it as material for Sheou, and as long as Chundra is on the field, You have Full tenpai combo, with a Bident already made so you don't make it again. It also opens up your synchro plays, since chamber is a 4, it allows you to make 11s, but there aren't any good ones you can make. I think Star Eater is the best One. You don't have to Synchro into a dragon which opens it up a little, But when Bident comes back to pop summoning if you still have it, it only works on a dragon. Obviously you have Tenpai regular combos with Trident if you want. It also has a slot for Zero Trishula, which again you could make before, but who cares. The main thing is the Sheou negate. And if worst comes to worst, you have Dragonmaid plays too. If Sheou stays on Board for a full turn, it's game over. The only thing that really Shits on it, is Dragoon. But Dragoon shits on everything, that's what Trishula is for. Assuming you have the ability to make it, and it has no negates.

Unfortunately, there aren't really any engines that get you to the Dmaids except the Drulers and at that point you're just playing Drulers with a Dmaid engine. I feel like this deck is one good main deck card away from actually being viable, or one good piece of generic dragon support ig.

From the looks of things, dragonmaid should be ran as the core engine with other supports as extender. The core engine seems to be quite consistent

@@kennyngo9200 the problem is that there isn't any engine I could find that can actually get you to the dmaids. Red-eyes metal is missing one body, fiendsmith can't provide the right types of bodies and not enough also. These are pretty much the only engines compact enough to be run without reducing the amount of handtraps you can play. Black-metal is probably the best thing if you want to have more access to disruption without the Dmaids. I would say the bystials but they're kinda hit or miss these days.

@@ic3dr4g0n5 yep, or let me rephrase my wording. Theres no way to extend into dmaid, so the only way is to extend outwards into higher ceiling. Basically other engines cant make this deck more consistent, so we probably have to look towards 2/3 cards combos that can extend into alternative lines if it gets disrupted. I saw another video exploring duality, it might be a good tech piece as I can see quite a few target to can build the deck around, black metal dragon, 2 bystials, red hot dragon. If we can somehow fit a L1 tuner, we might be able to bridge the L8/9/10 synchro climb, so blue eyes or red hot dragon might be onto something. That said, if the idea is to improve consistency, then tough luck.

@@kennyngo9200 my idea with black metal is that is can technically bridge into the Dmaids on turn 3. Black metal alone is Seals+red eyes metalmorph. By summoning Magnamhut off of Seals you can search for a Dmaid during the end phase and tribute Magna to summon Metalmorph red-eyes. Though it's sometimes better to just search Lubellion and play bystial control until you get a Dmaid starter, regained+S:P can really help with that.
