Master Duel: Tenpai (simply based on representation) White Forest (feels like it needs the azamina support to be a deck on its own and Toy Box and Centurion variants just arent what they were hyped up to be) Probably one of those with high ceiling (Plant, Branded, Ritual beast) For me, Salamangreat (just the right mix of somewhat complex, good 1st & 2nd yet not too known) Stun or Yubel Not out yet, but already talked about: the mulcharmies (they seem a lot less useful in a going first deck in a casual best-of-one fomat with MaxxC at full power) Idk Idk Sangen Summoning, maybe The new girsu spell (more so because of the potential) Don’t know for MD, but I sure am hyped for the new Orcust, Dragonmaid, Eldlich and Dragon Ruler stuff. Yubel (looked promising, but turned out badly in a competitive Environment) or VV (boring and overpriced) (dont‘t remembee anything else) Idk Hit th tear Field spell (no, I‘m not a tear Fan, I just like Visas-pile.deck) or not hitting Apo or Tenpai heavier.

2024 is a weird one for me. I look back on the year as probably one of the worst, simply because of the 1 card combo problem and the existence of a deck like Tenpai. On the other hand, I topped and won more events in 2024 than every other year I've played the game combined. I felt most rewarded from good testing, deck theory, and just enjoying events overall with great people. Thanks for all of the great content this year. Lots of learning, lots of laugh, and lots of enjoyment. Please get Niko (Unchained GOAT) on the channel soon 🤓✌️ (🐸)

So happy to see S:P shouted out for positive card design. When S:P released in the TCG I had some reluctance towards its power level. However, I think players have a tendency to feel a card is overpowered when their opponent can afford it and they cannot. S:P is so interactive in so many ways and if anything negative can be said about it it would be, I:P Masquerena should be banned 🐸
@shaggy50332 күн бұрын
8:05 I was thinking all day about TCG exclusives I strongly believe that they are all beautifully designed but tend to fail not due to a lack of care but because they have to compete with the "Fuck it we ball" type of shit they make in the OCG (Tistina doesn't exist). I'd love to see someone hold a "Exclusively TCG exclusive" tournament to see how they do in a different environment

People are ignoring so many things when making these decisions Fuwalos would be 10x "more broken" if simply more people could afford it Tenpai wouldve been 10x stronger if people actually knew how to play it We celebrated when generic ed boss monsters got banned and hated when crazy amounts of handtraps in a deck became meta but love the design of Fiendsmith which exclusively promotes the very things we used to hate I could be completly clueless but Idk
@leekyonion2 күн бұрын
The problem with this argument is that the fiendsmith line at least let's you know what it's gonna make and how it gets there is the same every time. Little Timmy shitting out links and oops, all appolousa and baronne out of nowhere because he opened fenrir and happen to not normal summon yet so fuck it normal ash and make baronne. And Jim Bob here actually does an entirely different combo just to end up on appo on top of 3 flood gates staring into your soul. And the best part? Most if not all these fucks can do it in under 5 summons. Fiendsmith? 5 MINIMUM to make the caesar - so nib is a legit answer. And you can see the fiendsmith line. Every. Time. And not learn how every top meta deck makes appo/baronne/savage but different
@lucasalarcon32302 күн бұрын
@@leekyonionthat fair argument against barone but savage is telegraphed specially if you want to make him in 4 summons also i understand why josh love the pure fiendsmith deck but overral is not great, a small one card combo engine build in negation without restrictions with good recursion on top of that is not really good desing
