this site shutting down is the reason i stopped playing yugioh :s I was working and going to college so i didnt have enough time to go to locals every week, so i tested decks here, but when the site shut down i didnt get enough play time so didnt go to events. Now here we are almost a year later and i was gonna get back into yugioh but dont have a good place to test decks so have no idea what to build :s and i dont wanna just get a deck from a tournament

I stopped using Dueling Network as soon as I found out about YGOPro, but still... if a law firm is simply _claiming_ to represent someone, you BETTER get confirmation that they are actually authorized to represent that person or organization. It could very easily be a fraudulent claim, or a case of "shoot first, ask questions later" with lawyers just trying to look like they're doing their jobs when there's otherwise no work to be done.

YgoPro has been my dueling sim for awhile, the lack of cheating makes it more than worthwhile for me, as well as the newer cards. DN is best for practicing, as cards react as they should (Tincan and e tele make me sad on YGoPro.) This is unfortunate but I always wondered why it didn't happen sooner, Konami and their affiliates seem bent on destroying themselves, Konami needs to get it's shit together.

I started to play on DN few moths ago and it was what made me actually love the game ... Konami or whatever doesn't really put any effort to promote their game beside the manga/ anime who aren't by any mean bad but they are what they are ... just fiction. not everyone can afford to buy decks or specific cards on internet so the company should have opted to make their own " Duel Network " instead of shutting down the current one and after this move I'm pretty sure Yu Gi Oh will go back to the no place it was 2 or 3 years ago until they make another overloaded game concepts to bring it back temporarly

What I think should be done, and not just with yugioh, is a public beta for upcoming sets that allow people to try out all the new cards and leave feedback so they can correct balance before they release the set. This also helps set demand for a set before it's fully released.

Slaydra, one of the reasons people play DN its because its exactly the same as real world play, gotta do everything as you would do it in real life (damn, i said the same shit twice) and cause you can learn alot of the rulings and card applications. but the main reason is because you dont have to download anything to play. (i use ygopro cause i test against the machine, but gonna move to dn soon)

I can remember all the fun I had opening the booster packs, building my deck and trading my cards with other players for a cyber stein, ultimate blue dragon, gemini elfs. I think if Konami wants to have a successful online yugioh game of their own, it has to be just like DN and Devpro (I know their upcoming cross platform game is supposed to be like devpro/DN) with a subscription like Netflix. Here are some examples: If they make the game like, say for example, Mortal Kombat X or other fighters in design, all they have to do is add some offline modes for casuals, make every card available at the moment for free and for future upcoming cards, and if you want to play Online, you have to have make a Konami ID account in the game (NO CHARGE), under your console ID (In this case, it's similar to SFV on PS4). If Konami goes this direction, all they have to do is make all cards available for free and make all future cards available in updates for free, like DN and Devpro. Legacy of the Duelist was a step in the right direction... Unfortunetely, it was also 2 steps backwards due to its many flaws! All Konami needs to do is add a subscription to the game like Netflix. I wouldn't mind that at all.

The people who play online are those who are testing cards out before buying them (and OCG cards) and those who can't play irl. Neither makes Konami (or the animation company) lose money most likely. It's also a good way to try the game out, which people wouldn't do as often if they had to actually buy random cards to try the game. If they ever go after DN or Devpro, etc., many real life players will probably quit the game b/c they are basically going to have to buy every card or make proxies. Plus online means that u can play whenever u want, unlike irl where u have to find someone to play against in your community. I'm fine w/ switching to DevPro (tho I keep having trouble when downloading it) if I have to but I want to at least be able to copy and paste down my deck profiles from DN so I can have ideas stored if the site closes. Also u need to download it on each device so yea.

For all that are unaware, Project M no longer receives updates due to a similar Cease and Desist order. How are these people who made the original content going to make money in sales? Casuals play the alternative form of the game which uses virtual assets. Virtual assets still have value (think the ridiculous pricing for CSGO and DOTA 2 custom visuals). For whatever reason, TCG communities think they are IMMORTAL when they take copyrighted material and monetize off of it. And there is this False Dilemma Fallacy in which a company needs to be loyal to someone who endorses their product without consent. If I took your treatment for cancer, branded my name on it and outcompeted you, you would be angry at the very least. Guys, get used to seeing Moe for all your favorite virtual trading card games because there is no reason for any business to be outcompeted with their own product. They have to take it upon themselves to create an market equilibrium they and the consumers want. I hate to see a title I cared about since 4th grade go down in flames but sometimes the Internet's articles are outright hypocrisy. Gonna keep waiting for Cardfight Vanguard Online. Hopefully their business model is as fair as their game.

let's say this is konami, all they are doing is is hurting their own game. Yes some people play only online but duelling network is one of the platforms players can go and test decks on that have yet to be released in game. So if you were to test out a deck and you like it you are more than likely to buy several boosters or the card vendors are going to buy alot of booster boxes because of supply and demand for a certain card or deck. So they are making money in a way it's kinda like free advertising of their product This is also another way to connect the yugioh community in today world having an online presence is really important, and that's why duelling network supplied. It's also restricting their community because alot of people don't have a local's near them and dueling network was a platform for them

I don't even play Yugioh and I think this is bullshit, These websites rock because they let people who want to play the game, play the game whenever they want. Duel network I think does the best job of teaching players how to play the game. You have to resolve every card effect and respond to every play on your own ability like how you would IRL. Duel network allows you play and make decks with every card in the game something that most all card shop just can't do. I've been watching your videos for a long time seeing all these decks that you make, all these cheeky combos and ways you have been able to make a game out of nothing and that I think is the real charm of Yugioh. Azyneyes, I love your videos and the game of Yugioh, even though I don't play it I can see why people love it, and it's sites like Duel Network and people like you that are driving the game forward and keeping people interested in Yugioh. And for that we thank you.
