So, after Duff left GnR, he went to Seattle University and got a bachelors in business. He himself said he had no idea about music until he went to college. Sit there for a minute and imagine what it was like to take music theory classes with him.

He talks about in his book, in his accounting classes, he would take copies of his own financial statements with all names white'd out, and ask the professor different questions, and "hypotheticals." He said the professor and asked why this young guy in his early 30s had multi-million dollar financial statements and caught on who he was. He said a few times people brought him records to sign and it kind of blew his cover, which he said made him feel uncomfortable, and he said he had to address that he was there as a student not a rocker. I think he said college was the only time in his life he went by his birth name Michael and not by Duff.
@glennoc85852 жыл бұрын
I heard it was something to do with a Catholic college that he attended. I would've thought he'd have a good accountant to take care of his business matters. Maybe he just wanted to go to college in the end.

@@glennoc8585 duff is a bit obsessive with things. I suspect he got it in his head that he didn’t want to ever be one of those famous broke musicians, and did whatever he could to avoid that future.

@@glennoc8585 No. I mean, imagine being a student in a random music class, and the student next to you is from one of the greatest rock bands in history trying to learn theory with everybody else. That would absolutely blow me away. "Oh, so that's a flatted 7th."
