@warrenrose68 anybody who chooses to can care if a rock musician is also a good family man. Duff himself certainly seems to care. So you dont care? Good for you. Others do. If its all about the "rock", then why did Duff write a book about his entire life?

Yea, it sucked when everyone split, but they made some great music while together. Still have never seen them, got fucked out of 600 bucks at Rockville, trying to see them last year, was so excited about it... Axl's voice just isn't the same though and I'm really not feelin that new song they released.

Axl was a bit of a control freak that drove people away. For me Appetite was their best. I liked LIES as well. But wasn't fussed on Illusions. That's the angle AXL wanted to take the band. But one thing Axl maybe innocent of is being late or holding up the show being 2 hours late. He maybe suffering from high iron causing fatigue. I didn't know I had it or what was wrong with me for decades. So I wondered that about Axl

Learn Duffs intro lines to the beginning of sweet child. Such tasteful, relaxing riffs underneath slash’s audio carnival. And then that bump and grind feel throughout is so groovy. I love his and Adlers playing on Rocket Queen as well!

Nivek Mind if I ask what decade you grew up in? My hunch is that you’re parroting the ridiculously cliche Seattle-musicians-stayed-inside-and-practiced-because-of-the-rain theory. So, by contrast, L.A. musicians practice outdoors because it’s sunny?
@landmarkcreations1183
@landmarkcreations1183 5 жыл бұрын
Fakename70 It may be Cliché so to speak but it’s very true. Grew up in the 80’s and there were so many bands from here that went unnoticed. A lot of bands went to LA for the scene there in the 80’s and not all of those bands were from LA they were from all over the country to get noticed, Hence the saying “ If I’m gonna be a big star, I better go to LA/Hollywood”
@Fakename70
@Fakename70 5 жыл бұрын
Nivek Ok, but, I’m from there as well, and also played in no-name bands that stayed inside to practice, but not because of the fucking weather. Good grief! The music coming out of the 206 was unique from everywhere else because it was always raining? Such a false narrative. I highly doubt any of the players slogging it out in countless rehearsal spaces around the city - then or now - did so because it was raining.
@lightningmobiledetail6012

@@Fakename70 No. He actually lives here as well and it rains a lot so we play inside sometimes it's something fun to do. So it's actually the truth. I'm not sure wtf your saying how it could be a cliche. Actually dont care what you think. Guessing you don't live in our area. If you do your an idiot

Appetite for Destruction was awesome. Never cared for anything from them after that. It was like Michael Jackson and Thriller. He couldn't top it.

Use Your Illusion 1 and 2 are amazing albeit not completely raw hard rock albums like Appetite was.

Deric Gregory I’m a little biased towards my love for the illusion records though as I find the back catalogue fantastic , songs like the garden, you ain’t the first, don’t damn me, locomotive and those type of songs while they don’t have the hard rock feel of appetite they are amazing songs

No band desperately needs new music as much as Guns N Roses. Surely there’s only so long you can tour the same old 30 year old songs

They could tour forever playing Appetite top to bottom and chuck in a couple of staples from Lies and the Illusions, and I'd happily part with clams every time.
