Duke basketball, Cooper Flagg blow out Virginia Tech

Duke DOESN'T just give it to Cooper Flagg and check out. We arguably have the most BALANCED team in the top 25. Check the stats on how MANY players are in double figures in multiple games. And there have been games where Cooper Flagg has been out for multiple minutes and Duke still increases their lead. BALANCE is amazing.

Flagg is a phenom...and his maturity is unbelievable.....he may be the best player around but he doesn't act like it .he doesnt take baf shots..if he is double teamed, he doesnt force a shot, he passes the ball....... Duke is playing as a team...scheyer is about to make duke into a dynasty....JS is smart and poised in the huddle, even things are not going good, he still gives detailed instructions and doesnt show panic .... This is all coming from a JEALOUS UNC FAN...LOL...but im also a closet duke fan, too...

With all due respect, Tim and Dennis…how closely do y’all watch Duke outside of the headlines and gambling spreads? There are a number of shallow and outdated takes here. (1) Duke currently has the #3 defense and #10 offense on KenPom. Those metrics suggest we don’t lose focus all that much. So I don’t know why that would be a big concern based on what has happened to date. (2a) there is little evidence that Duke gives the ball to Flagg and “checks out.” We did that in crunchtime in exactly one game - Kentucky. And again, that was after James got hurt and missed the final 8 or so mins, and no one else but Flagg was hitting shots. Then, we lost to Kansas narrowly on a blown execution - but Kon Knueppel had the ball in his hands on the final possession. Those are the 2 losses. By 5 and 3 points, respectively. And did you watch the Auburn or Arizona games at all…? I didn’t hear you mention those games but I may have missed it. Duke was locked all the way in in the second half of both games. we withstood serious runs by veteran, hardnosed teams. We easily could’ve folded and ballwatched. Didn’t happen. (2b) re: “checking out” and losing focus, in general…remember that we have a very good strength of schedule already. And we play KenPom top 10 team Illinois in MSG in late February to sharpen up. And other metrics indicate we don’t “lose focus” all that much, even in easier games. We have covered in almost every other game outside VaTech. Including Arizona and Auburn. (3) re: being tested in the ACC…we absolutely will be tested. @ Louisville gave us a scare already. We were only up five at half at Georgia Tech and then locked in and won by 26. Reasonable Duke fans expect to lose several ACC games. @ SMU, @ Clemson, @ UNC, @ Wake should all be tough games. I know it’s early in the season and a lot of basketball yet to be played . I figure y’all will lock in more on CBB after football wraps up. I hope the analysis improves, too.

That’s what I think about Gonzaga every year people get so hyped on Gonzaga and they get to tourney and get popped by a good team. But I do think Duke is different and the acc is still tough

Jesus loves u
