He missed most of his senior year of high school in 2015 due to injury. Red-shirting ..McCormick redshirted his freshman year at Oregon after recovering from an ACL injury. Transferring..McCormick transferred to Miami in January 2023 after playing seven seasons at Oregon. Eligibility...McCormick was granted an extra year of eligibility in January. McCormick's coaches say that he's an inspiration and that most people would have given up in his situation. He's said that he returned for his ninth season because of his relationships with his teammates and coaches, his desire to leave on his terms, and his role as a mentor.

The main problem of this team is a blessing and a curse. For two quarters this team will outright score and deny you points. Almost every game we have played in the last 5 or 6 games this team lets their opponents run all over them until half time.
