My theory is that he already got outplayed by Kyle McCord a few weeks ago and saw that Rocco Becht was outplaying him, so he wanted to save face before NFL scouts began to question how good he really is. I knew Iowa St would win this game. They're a very well-coached team with a lot of heart. They didn't show up against Arizona State, but I have a feeling the Big XII had a lot to do with that because they wanted to send their best team to the CFP.
