Duke Cannon tactical soap on a rope review

One thing about working construction and living in hotels is you never know what kind of soap you'll get, but you can rest assured it won't do a good job of getting you clean. Using a face towel as a scrubber is an improvement, but the hotel staff doesn't appreciate the dark stains on their white towels. In early 2017 I discovered a new type of soap and scrubber from a company called Duke Cannon. All the clever marketing about the military and manliness aside, they've created a soap and scrubber combo that actually works. Their soap on a rope scrubber and big blocks of soap are ideal for a traveling construction worker. The abrasive pouch makes cleaning off dirt, grease, concrete and grime very fast and you actually get clean. The bar of soap is also big enough to last for at least 3-4 weeks on the road. I can't recommend it enough.

I have the Buffalo Trace Bourbon Bar in my Tactical Scrubber, but I picked up a bar of the Old Milwaukee Beer Soap, and I have to say it's one of my favorite scents next to the Buffalo Trace.

They need to come up with at least one variation of t his. After all, what if you feel like washing with Naval Diplomacy one night and Buffalo and Trace the next day. Its easier if the Tactical Soap Pouch they are in are in different colors.

One thing I have heard is that the soap in the pouch does not dry and turns to mush fast. What do you do that others are not doing to ensure it dries and stays a brick?

For me that happens when the soap is down to the last 5-10 percent. I like it though, because it lathers up really nice.

Jesse W. I have never tried using th soap without the pouch. My guess would be that it lasts longer in the pouch because you clean faster. I did notice recently that one of the black colored bars seemed to last longer. It seems harder and didn't dissolve as quickly towards the end. It also didn't lather as well though. Hope this helps!

I've never used Dr Squatch, but this thing is pretty big. I'd say roughly 5" x 2.5" or so. It is 2 or 3 times the size of an average soap bar.

@@j.timberwolf Hey man, so for Squatch I would go Fresh Falls (Discontinued buy on eBay), Cedar Citrus, Nautical Sage, Deep Sea Goats Milk, and Eucalyptus Yogurt are all really good scents. You cannot buy these anywhere but on their site or on eBay. For Duke Cannon, Smells like Naval Supremecy, Midnight Swim, Buffalo Trace, Smells like Accomplishment is pretty good too. Bourbon is good but I wouldn't waste my time on the other scents. You can find limited scents like Buffalo Trace & Accomplishment at TJ Max or Marshall's but for the other scents u gotta snag at Target or Ulta. After smelling these, I dont think you would want any other scents. Good luck and enjoy ✌🏼
