If you’re new I’d advise sticking to the dodge slide while in combat and save dodge jump slide for disengage to help ensure you don’t screw yourself on stamina

You can deny enemy farm in lane by shooting the orb that goes out of the creep but you also have to secure your own if you shot the creep. A way to prevent this is you can melee the creep so you dont need to do the aimlabs mechanic to automatically secure the souls. And kills also give alot of gold so sometimes going back to base is better if you are very low.

Great video for new players, community resources like this are really great. I absolutely agree that the "Great for new players" is pretty misleading, the character that best reflects how you like to play the game will always be the easiest one for you, so don't be afraid to experiment with every hero! Also, thanks for using the Haze build!

This game honestly sounds like a really neat take on the MOBA. I could never get into Valorant or Overwatch, but really really appreciate the gameplay and nuances of League....and somehow this feels more like League meets CS/OW/Valorant than anything, and I love the little movement bits - it actually seems fun and fair, requires skill but not too much, and not as annoyingly ridiculous like CoD movement. Looking forward to this game being more public/finished. Thanks for the guides!

infinite ammo during slide was a very neat tip. thanks! also, just 10 hours in, why do so little people use melee attacks? 2/3 of all hero kills i do are from melee. farming too.

Thanks, glad it helped! A lot of people don't even realize melee exists, haha! It's a weird curve where initially almost no one uses melee, then a lot of people use melee and then in higher levels of play people start using parry to counter melee, so melee becomes more of a calculated decision.

Have you played the game? If so, perhaps you can answer if it is like mobas that you boost the "carry" and support never get any fun upgrades or do any killing. Or is it like Heroes of the storm that any kill is good for the team, no matter who in the team did it?

Anyone can get kills, no one stops a kill to make sure a carry gets it, its just carries have an easier time getting kills because of their kits. Any kill is good because it allows you to push and take objectives.

Farming will give the carries more souls. And jungling. And just destroying items. Carries don’t really need every kill to carry. There’s 6 players too so there’s enough to go around. I haven’t heard any issue with kill stealing so far.

Right now, health stacking is very strong. There are 3 characters that I would definitely consider to be tanks and those are Abrams, Dynamo, and Warden. I have only been playing for about a week and I cannot tell you the amount of times that one or more of those characters on my or the enemy team, have carried the game. They get tanky to the point of seeming invincible but also manage to output burst that rivals dedicated assassin characters in other MOBAs.

Did you bind your ultimate to "-" (hyphen)? Just curious how that works for you? Do you have a special keyboard? Coming from Smite, I was using Q,Space, E, R for 1,2,3,4 respectively and I'm trying to find a keybind arrangement that would come out similar to that. I was playing around with binding jump to my scroll wheel to free up an ability for my spacebar, but that doesn't seem to jive with the game so far. Additionally, since reload is bound to R, I don't see myself rebinding that to free up space for my ultimate.

the modifier for step 1 is the optimal, fastest choice and how it works in DOTA

I can see the argument for it being fastest, but with the insane amount of keys deadlock required compared to dota, I don't know if it's optimal for most layouts. Double tap is so quick that it requiring less hand acrobatics may actually make it equal in speed compared to reaching over to a modifier key. Doesn't apply if you have a mouse with lots of extra keys.

@@DukeSloth double tap gives you way more room for error, such as spamming the button while you're silenced. The modifier option is objectively the fastest since its quick cast instantly.
