Haven't laughed so hard at a podcast ever. I am team tomato soup chicken soup can be over complicated it's basically minestrone with chicken. There is nothing like dipping a fresh grilled cheese in a tomato bisque on a lovely winter afternoon. Tomato winters rule.

Interesting conversation but your conception of the seasons is very modern / city life oriented. I used to be a city girl and now that I am living almost off the grid, I can tell you that our natural rhythm is supposed to be the opposite of what we do! The grind happens during the summer : managing crops, building muscle, prepping wood and canning food for the next winter, building shelters, fixing roofs, etc. And then comes the winter, where everything cools off and you get to rest your body and your soul, be in touch with your emotions more deeply and start preparing for next summer. And we do the exact opposite in modern society : we work hard during the winter and take time off during the summer, which is obviously wrong for us...

Josh, say it. You can put clothes on, but you can't remove your skin. And visiting Canada during snow time, indoors is like 10% humidity and 80 degrees. Amazed me how they live. 40-50% humidity and 70 degrees. Ahhh. I've lived in Alabama and worked all year outdoors. The locals were always indoors, except for those two weeks on each end of winter and dodging tornados. Love you guys.
