Duluth has the longest freshwater sandbar on Earth, but there are many saltwater sandbars that are longer

I love Duluth. Everything is amazing in it. At one part in the video where he is walking in the street that goes to the Ariel Lift Bridge, on the right the Waterfront Plaza Inn and Suites is where I stay when we go there. For one, beautiful and fun hotel. I like it personally, but there could be better hotels there. Then its fun because on nights we go to the Grandmas Cafe, totally forgot the name. That might be right though. Food is pretty good there. Then we go back to the hotel. And the last time we went to the mall in another town on the top of the hill. Forgot the name of that too. At the mall, they had fun electric toy animals to ride around. Got some new good shoes there too. And then we went to spirit mountain after that. Let me tell you, that was the best place that I have ever been to. We were there in the winter, so we got to go snow tubing. We grab a tube, bring it over to a spot where there are these hooks alternating on a large loop. Someone hooks the tube onto the cable then it drags us up there. Then when we get to the top we slide down. There are 3 sides, one the fast side, one the slower side, and one side with lots of bumps on it. They also have skiing there. Then in the summer, they have trails for biking on, they have campsites, and they have this cool rollercoaster type thing that you can ride on. It will give you a great view of the lake and the wilderness there. And just a couple recommendations on places to visit... Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory [In downtown Duluth near the Ariel Lift Bridge], Adventure Zone [Also in downtown Duluth near the Ariel Lift Bridge], Grandmas Cafe {May be the name} [Again in downtown Duluth near the Ariel Lift Bridge], and at last just straight up the beach around there. (All the last places are in Canal Park) But down by the beach, there is this place where you can rent bikes. You can rent 4 seater peddle bikes, 2 seater, and one seater bikes. They also have these smaller kids bikes where you can use fun handlebars and seats that are low to the ground. I could probably rant more on how amazing Duluth is, but I need to wrap this comment up. Just trust me, DULUTH IS SO FUN!!!!!

Lived there for two years. Pretty city, but just too cold. Doesn't really have four seasons. Even the short summer is cool....

+Nerdbuster Believe me. Duluth is cold......

+oscarashes most of us live here by choice, I for one like the cold, keeps the riff-raff away.

How about snow frozen streets that go at a 75 deg angle.
@brady46876 жыл бұрын
Well the streets have steam pipes under it to make it safer, but it is honestly kinda scary going on those in the winter haha

Where there is water and green, there is life itself. Duluth looks like a nice place, but the ad could have been with aired with slow and relaxing music. I mean holiday makers should want to stay there, not stay there a few days and leave.
@tanya53227 жыл бұрын
It wasn't a tourism ad. It was aimed at filmmakers scouting for location shots.

This coming from the town that gave "Duluth is Horrible" sooooo much shit

Half the shots were places that were dilapidated. I think I'll pass.

It wasn't a tourism video. It was showcasing a variety of different filling locations trying to encourage production companies to come and use Duluth for location shots.

You missed the point of the video by a country mile.

25%, not 35%? If you're going to make a city look like Detroit, it's cheaper to actually film it in Detroit.
@brettpanzer9 жыл бұрын
howtogrowgoddesses But you don't have to worry about equipment getting stolen in Duluth..
@howtogrowgoddesses9 жыл бұрын
True. In Detroit, it takes about 15 minutes for your van to be broken into. In Duluth, it takes a whole evening.

Worse place ever. I was stationed there, and it had to be the most racist place I have ever experienced while in the military. Did 2 years there and was forced to get out of the military or else I would've had to stay another 2 years. If you are not blonde hair and blue eyed and your last name ends in Ski then you are dirt. Minneapolis is way better and has more to offer.

+Jonathan Villanueva Hey as a Black guy I'm curious, what is your racial makeup? Thanks.
