@@clem-hk2di usually cause if I’m running through trees enough to even get hurt by a tree to begin with, it’s cause I got too much heat on my ass to perfectly navigate through trees. Sometimes using walk to to avoid trees isn’t an option (I.e sprinters). So the 2 odd times I’ve had my throat ripped out by a tree are the ones where I had about 10+ sprinters on my ass. So it’s basically I had to hope to god it wasn’t too serious of an injury cause if I would’ve stopped I get mauled and die anyways lmao

Thousand of hours playing Zomboid, I consider myself experienced and capable. One character went to Louisville and chose the AmeriGlobe building as a base, I was on the roof creating a secure garden ready for spring, near the wall I accidentally pressed 'E' instead of 'W'. Rather than walk away from the ledge I jumped over and fell to my death killing a 9 month long survivor and I often wish the game had a "Do you really want to die - Press Y to confirm" when you make a simple button press at the wrong time and place.

Is there a way to remap the 'jump the wall" button? It really should require multiple consecutive inputs, for gameplay and realism reasons. It's NOT easy to vault a waist height wall IRL, certainly not by accident.

@@tristanridley1601 Honestly I don't know but when you are being chased by zombies the last thing you need is multiple inputs to jump a fence. Perhaps only jumping fences with a direction AND the E button, so there is no confusion over a single input but that makes keyboard control harder when playing the game.

F! I had something similar happen to me with my first character that had lasted over a week. Not sure how much time had passed exactly, but I had a little over 10k kills and was going through the military housing in March Ridge. When I made it to the third or fourth floor, the window in one of the rooms was open. I went over there to close it and held E too long and also jumped to the most miserable death I had in the entire game yet.

Hogwarts Legacy has this feature where if you walk off a ledge, your character stops themselves first. Basically like those scenes in movies where if a character is running and happens upon and cliff or ledge and stops themselves on time. I thought that's a neat feature that zomboid could use, maybe as a trait.
